Thank you for making the guide! I guess the game changed in the last 4 years, so I would like to make a correction on the special forces step. With engineers being the first step to die, special forces are really important now. The video says they only give the combat stats, but they now also: -reduce your losses by 1 shift on the attack, when the special forces are active -counter 1 entrenchment Hopefully, this addition helps people enjoying the guide and the game. :-)

This is an absolutely fabulous explanation of how the game mechanics work. I dive into the game as deeply as you do and fully understand how all these systems work but you are the first You Tuber to explain how it is done. Keep putting out these wonderful videos, you are doing such wonderful things for this game. So many people call this a beer and pretzel type of game but this goes way beyond that. This game is a masterpiece of logistics and strategy unlike any other game made for a computer. This is one of my favorite games on the market today. I also really love the play through videos you do rather than just show us a historical game that you already played. I for one do not mind longer videos or more videos of scenarios if that is what it takes. I look forward to your posted videos every day even though I also play the game. I just love watching someone who also understands wargames.

Thank you so so much Bannor4. It means a lot :) I 100% agree. This game is amazing and much deeper than it seems :D You make very good arguments for the longer version. I will probably end up doing a mishmash. Some episodes like that, some like that depending on the difficulty of the scenario etc.

@@SampstraGames Stick with it. If you like it, play it. I ment in in a positive way. I wasn't a sub when you played cliff empire but watched almost all of the videos you made on that game. Seeing you make videos on this game reminds me of how much you enjoyed Cliff Empire.

First, thank you for the guide, secondly, the alt history mission after the first Cassino mission, did you see Rush for the Apaninies?

No I didn't see any options until I finished 4th Cassino and now I can choose between Roads from Rome and Overlord. Some people also said that it cost them 60 prestige to do the alternative history thing. I didn't notice that at all. It could have happened, but I don't remember the game telling me to choose or anything like it.

Thank you once again for your tutorial. One question, before a combat, can you find out if your or an enemy unit will be killed or suppressed or become a straggler? Is it possible to know, or just a random dice throw? Thanks

you get an estimate before the attack and then the actual result can differ.

@@SampstraGames You know, it seems to me that in the game there is such an opportunity, for example, when Monte Cassino was held, then depending on the quality of the passage, the captured points, further scenarios may be different. When I passed Monte Cassino, after it I got the script “Roman Roads”, but on some videos I saw the scenarios “Breakthrough to the Apennines” after Monte Cassino. What can I say?

I can't perform the very first action demonstrated. I have no reserves! I've tried all four difficulty levels and other battles, too. Never anything. Is my install bad?

No. In some scenarios or for some HQs you just don't get reserves. Also make sure you play campaign and not scenarios (those don't give that kinds of reserves I think)

@@dalerobinson8051 your install isn't bad, the scenario just isn't giving you extra components at the beginning of the scenario
