So we now can create Demo, Early Access and Release Build profiles with specific content/scenes to be available. Sounds awesome and useful.

I already had some workflow setup so I could release for Android/iOS and Steam, however it was buggy and parts were unfinished. Glad I found this, I really like the Scripting Defines compile stuff, definitely going to use that.

Completely agree! I've been working as a Unity tooling engineer and teams I've worked on have always had to implement some version of this. It's awesome to see it finally built in. 😊

Now, update the Video Player to support current container and encoding formats such as .mkv, VP9, AV1 etc.

How can we use "Scripting Defines" to create cheat modes? They are compiler blocks aren't they? This means that they will not be complied when the game is built? So they can't be dynamically compiled back in...

Would profiles be customisable? Like we can add our own new fields 🤔 I guess you can always achieve it by using defines in an ad hoc ScriptableObject.

@@umapessoa6051 how so? I feel like unity version control is better for big projects and unity in general, github is good but if your files get big you need to use git LFS which has a 1GB limit before you have to pay.
