Using a brake caliper piston compressor tool. This tool is designed for brake caliper pistons which are pushed straight back into the caliper. It with will not work with caliper pistons which have to be rotated as they are pushed in (usually rear brakes). It is fitted with a tommy bar but it can also be used with a ½ inch drive socket or a spanner. As your brake pads wear thinner through normal use, the caliper piston is pushed further and further out of the caliper. When you replace the brake pads with new ones, the piston has to be pushed back into the caliper to make enough space for the caliper to fit down over them. This tool makes that job easy. Thanks for watching.
