Wow great use of the kit lens. I'm Chance Studios btw this is just my gaming channel. As you may remember I have the SL2 that came with the 18-55 and damn man! Looks awesome! I bought the older 50mm 1.8 and it is unreal, loud motors but no issue with an external mic. Been thinking of getting a Powershot sx730 or sx740 for a pocket vlog camera. Thoughts?

Thanks, bud! Wow, how many channels do you have friend? Haha. I'll be honest, I have considered getting an sx730 before. But the thing that kept me from buying it (aside from price) was that it could not shoot in 24fps. But if you don't care for 24fps and don't mind on-camera audio that much, then this could be a great convenient option for vlogging. The footage that I've been looks pretty good.

@@DillonProductions i have a few haha. Yeah no 24fps definitely through me off but for strictly vlogging and a behind the scenes camera I am totally ok without it. Vlogs in 30 or 60fps tend to look less cinematic and allows the viewer to focus on the experience or story being told. Either way 730 and 740 are amazing cameras

Thank you, Christopher! For me personally, I can afford a new lens, but I don't know which one to get so I've stuck with the kit lens a while. Using the Kit lens for me is beneficial because it pushes me to achieve my vision with less than optimal gear. I'm actually making a video about it very soon. I've seen many people using the kit lens and it looked pretty bad, but this one. I think it really depends on how you use the camera.
