Hi, I grew up watching formula 1 in the sixties, (yes, I'm old, lol),, and here in England, I never heard his name pronounced any other way than "YOCKANN", by motorsports commentators, etc,,. It's probably wrong, but that's how we all said it, !! What a truly stunning watch,, I'd be so very proud to wear one, thank you so much for showing us this piece,, all the best from across the pond.....

Thanks for the info, im sure it varied in pronunciation depending on the accent of the commentator! was a special time in history for sure, man to see this stuff happen live and in the timeframe must have been so incredibly cool!!

Crazy story...unfortunately I lost my Dad at 57 years old in 1987 when I was a teeenager. He was a watch guy, I really never have been. On special occasions, I would get one of my Dad's watches out of our safety deposit box and then return it for safe storage soon after. Also in that box was his "everyday" watch that I held onto for sentimental reasons, but never thought it had any monetary value. Also, the crystal was broken and it wasn't running. A few months back, my daughter asked if she could go to the box to get something to wear for a wedding she had coming up. She ended up bringing home my Dad's old "everyday" watch with her as she was curious about it and thought it was good looking. As you can probably guess, that watch turned out to be a the Universal Geneve Nina Rindt. Besides the cracked crystal, it needed little else to get running again. The condition is very similar to the example Cam is wearing in the video. This has now become my "everyday" watch and whenever I look at it on my wrist I think of my Dad. I enjoy the feeling of wearing this watch not only because it was dad's, but because I feel it's kinda like my little secret. Rolex makes beautiful watches, but at times they are too showy for my personality. Since I began wearing this watch only 1 man has come up to me and started a conversation about it...ironically, at a dive bar in Providence, RI. This piece has sent me down a path where I am starting to become a watch guy as my father was.

Nina Rindt is daughter of late Finnish racing driver Curt Lincoln. She was named 2011 by La Gazetta Dello Sport the most beautiful F1 wife of all times.

What a way to throw all other women in F1 under the bus. Nothing to be proud of. All she is known for is 'beautiful' and 'daughter of'. A meaningless life then?

That is a super cool watch and love the f1 connection.

The Nina Rindt is for sure in a category of its own.. UG watches in general are sleepers but id imagine not for much longer

Er, Speedmaster?. You a witch expert and not mention it's absolute similarity and its bezel is exactly the same dot over 90

Likely due to being from the same suppliers. The Heuer Carrera and Daytona used the same dial manufacturer and the indices were the same. It is likely UG used the same supplier as Omega, too. There was no such thing as in-house back then.
