amazing video sir it really helped me complete my e4 repertoire thankyou so much

In Pirc defense, I often feel that my Knight is uncomfortable on SC3, because it only covers E4 but is otherwise the goal of a pawn attack. In the future I will see him as a strong figure👍

I enjoy your videos because you cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. As a d4 player, I'm looking to play this against 1)...d6 and 1)...g6 players. But I'm still a little confused on when white plays Bd3 vs. f3 to protect the e-pawn. Is it f3 if white has already castled queenside?
@roqsteady529011 ай бұрын
I think if you are going to castle kingside then it makes sense not to block the f pawn with Nf3, but to go f4 followed by Nf3, which gives you the f5 pawn break later, which is needed because you can't really go g4 and h4 without weakening your king. OTOH if you intend to go 0-0-0 then you can play f3 to stabilize the centre and support g4 & h4, as in the English attack against many Sicilian variations.
@ALCATRAAAZZ2 жыл бұрын
I usually include Bd3 and castle long, before starting to attack. Also, Nf3 is Ok. I managed to win a 2200 IM OTB Rapid game in this line. Butchered him like he was an amateur. It is better not to know who you are playing against, as I did not :D but indeed, if you remove at least one of your pawns on the king side you have open lines for your rooks and the queen to join the attack. In my practice if black castle short he is busted

Got the PGN of that game?
@ALCATRAAAZZ Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not, we did not record moves and there were 7 rounds of 12+5 games. I played him in the first round. I have the FEN of the position where after 3 or 4 moves I took his queen and he resigned r2qr1k1/pb3pb1/1pn1p1p1/4p1p1/4N1P1/2NBP3/PPP4Q/2KR3R w - - 0 5

I ALREADY Play 1.e4 2.d5 3.Be3 (seemed UGLY at first) against the ANNOYING trench weasel French & Carokann, and would consider this system except you play Nc3 and I do TERRIBLE in pretty much EVERY line I've tried with early queen's knight development except the smith morra sicilian. I quit playing main line blackmar diemer against fellow scandinavians (WAY better than lousy tennison!!!) and now play the straight to 3.f3 gedult BDG because my stats in THAT were something like 20% better. I think it's because I'm not a queenside player and focus on getting to my opponent's f pawn as fast as possible. I haven't studied the austrian attack at all, but just pushing 3.f4 fits in more with my style I think as a king's gambit and, cringe, stonewaller when I can't hartlaub charlick as black, and even played a 96% accurate game making it up as I go along, simply developing behind my pawns until I find a target, or all my pieces are developed. I dstill hate facing it though as I prefer open fights in the center
