I understand the setting for the blue lines (etching) and the red lines (cutting) ...why do you need to set up the controls for black. Is that for engraving?

Is basically a secondary etch. That way you have 2 different areas that can have 2 different settings. Example: Blue areas can be set to 100% power and black to 10% creating more depth/different effects to the final picture. Hope that makes sense

I am located in Peoria, IL at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex. We have a Universal Laser System similar to yours. I have just a couple quick questions. Where do you purchase your wood and what types do you use? Did you have any type of training with your system or do you offer more online training?
