Universal Orlando Holiday Tour with VIP Guide FULL EXPERIENCE! Grinchmas, Special Experiences & More

We do the Universal Orlando Holiday Tour given by VIP Tour Guides on Thanksgiving week 2021 and I'm bringing you along to show you what this special tour is like! This is Universal's second year of offering these special tours and we took the tour on its second night. The tour includes reserved parade viewing for Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's, reserved seating for the Grinchmas show at Islands of Adventure, extra time in the Grinchmas theatre with a special, hilarious Q & A with the Whos, a VIP tour guide walking you around, answering questions and sharing fun info about the parks, including walking around backstage, the VIP upstairs area of Jimmy Fallon, a special meeting and photo opportunity with Santa Claus, cookies and hot chocolate with the Grinch, and a special viewing of Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle after the park is closed to day guests! We also got a cool view of Cinematic Celebration by the Christmas Tree and everyone was dressed fun and festive! Had the great pleasure of seeing the Universal Macy's Christmas Parade, was surprised it was so much more then Disney's new watered down offerings. This looks more substantial and at a fraction of the cost of Disney's Christmas After hours affair which now exceeds $200 for only 4 hours. Making plans!

I LOVED this!!! 1st, because it's NOT Disney. And most of all because the Live Grinchmas Show was fabulous! My grand kids would flip! They love Grinch. I told their mom to show them your channel. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this experience in the beginning (I go to the parks just with my husband) but having elements of Hogsmeade open (plus the hot cocoa and cookies at Seuss Landing) would make sitting through The Whoville Q&A and Santa absolutely worth it!

I usually use 20% as a base tip for any kind of service. I go above that for the VIP tour guides bc they spend so long with us. ☺️ hope that helps! Thank you!

Hi I was wondering if you can answer my question! I am still a bit confused about which tickets to purchase. Do we have to purchase the Holiday Tour to see the grinchmas and grinch festivities? Or Can I just purchase 2-Park-1-Day Park-to-Park Ticket and will I still get to see the parade , live theatre, and all the Christmas festivities? If you can help me Id appreciate it so much!

You can use a regular park ticket to see the parade and do many of the holiday festivities. The only things that you can’t do with a ticket and they only come with the tour are meeting Santa, the extra Q and a with The Who’s, the hot chocolate and cookies with the Grinch, reserved space for watching the parade and Grinchmas, and the after hours time in Hogsmeade to watch the Christmas castle show. You can watch the castle show with a regular day ticket it’s just that extra after hours time that comes with the tour. Hope this helped!

Where was that Grinch show located in previous years? I head some people complain it was moving into a smaller venue but it doesn't look scaled down at all. Looked like such a fun time!

It was in a sound stage and I think the blue man group theatre is actually bigger! The seats are definitely more comfortable in this new location, at the very least! I think it’s much better.

My father's workplace used to have Christmas parties and one time they had the Grinch there. But it wasn't a live face character, it was a costume with a mask that had a maniacal grin on it. He didn't talk either, so it kinda was creepy.
