I’ve done the red trap door that goes through the volcano. I must say, them free fall trap door slides are much scarier and much more intense then any coaster

I can confirm that. There is no coaster that gives you as an intense ride as the trap door slides.

Garry Williams yer, they used to scare me for the same reason trap door slides scare me. I think it’s the anticipation of waiting, and waiting, and then sudden and dramatic acceleration

Thanks for showing us around Volcano Bay. As I have commented in previous water park videos you have posted “being a wheelchair user, they aren’t my favourite places and tend to avoid them”. For people who are able such fun though. The themed volcano makes this one along with the variety of great slides. The tapu tapu is a great way to plan your way around on busy days though. Probably let down a little by the cost of food.

Volcano Bay is a nice looking water park and thought that not so lazy river was pretty neat, you were moving pretty fast. I also loved the lazy river too that you went through a cave. A lot of water slides there as well. The wave pool looked nice as well, I just might have to check this out sometime.

Great park Volcano Bay ! Those drop slides are a lot quicker than walking back down Shawn ! They are such a rush going down those , green is the most intense 😱😱😱. It’s 300 steps from the Tapu screen to the top 🥵🧱👍🏼

I want on the big red trap door one and you fell for about a minute and you could see over the whole park and then you get picked up by the slide at the bottom it’s great you just plummet straight down

When you go during the summer, and krakatau has a 300 min wait..., despite this, it’s my favorite of the Orlando water parks. Typhoon Lagoon is number 2 for me.

I was unlucky when I went back in October 2018 when it rained on the day we decided to go to Volcano Bay. Stayed on site in Royal Pacific where you get fast passes included for both universal parks.

there are glasses-goggles selling. I saw some when I went to Japan, and you might find them somewhere else as well. your glasses looked like it only just survived the abuse XD

I’ve heard of those too!! Glasses wearer here aswell!! But with my sight it’s like OUCH with the price!! Long sighted since aged 2 I’ll just stick to standard goggles and have my glasses in the most obscure place I can so I can see in the pool (well to my next slide of course) don’t mind the faffing around all day

I have done Kala and Ta Nui, the trap door slides that twist around. I don’t know what I did wrong, but I was being water boarded for most of it, water rushing over my face. Because of that, my head was being slammed up and down on the slide from the way the water was rushing around me. Why did I do it twice? Just to be sure I never have to do it again, lol.

My boyfriend and I were just there and while in the fast river the life guard told us the waves go every 40 seconds. If you in the spot that’s under the volcano drums began playing right before the wave comes. So if you can figure out that 40 seconds you can get the wave every time like we did

Like you say Shaun you can’t take GoPros on rides - I tried than with a secure wrist mount and they wouldn’t have it ... then I noticed lots of people with phones in waterproof lanyards - they don’t seem to have a problem with those so I ended up filming on most of the rides (including the water coaster) with my iPhone :)

I can understand why you don’t want to try the trap door slides, but have you ever done one? They’re not that bad. They’re usually smoother on your back than other body slides because they run more water

Great Vlog. Volcano Bay was the worst day of our trip because: It was cold and a little rainy, the lazy river was freezing and a lot undercover with squirting water making it worse. We got some food and for some reason my beef burger had a load of BBQ pulled pork on top and was just really bad tasting that make me ill (I know it was that) Worst burger ever I should have taken it back. The lockers were expensive and we used them for about an hour before leaving. The entrance is ridiculous with no car park and miles away! You have to catch a free bus back to Universal Studios main entrance and the journey took about 1 in traffic honestly feeling wet and sandy. The whole day felt like a waste by the time we got back to the Studios feeling miserable and the next 5 days of the trip I was Ill from that day. Dam Volcano Bay! Maybe next time will be better. Stupid entrance with a long walk after a bus ride, make sure you dont catch the bus in rush hour!

I do go to Volcano Bay every time I go to Orlando but I don't smend too much at the wave pool and mainly do the slides. I did go to Typhoon Lagoon and the Wave pool is my favorite attraction there!

Well. That was funless. The vibe I felt the other day has only increased. The least you could have done was to take one for the team and go on the scary drop slide. You can certainly handle the forces, and Charlotte can hold your glasses.
