Your updates are great. I have been following the Epic Universe Updates also from day 1but i think yours are more interesting as your getting all the info even before the major work begins... keep it up

Be fun if there was a poll of what might be arriving in the area. As I hope that you guys get the green light for breaking ground. I’m hoping for an expansion here at Hollywood , big rumor.

I hope for a green light soon but with the elections coming up In July I think any decision will be delayed.

The bags are most likely gravel for soakaway testing or for borehole install material. So testing the drainage of the area. Makes sense as you had the cable percussion rig on last week. So they’re doing the geotech side of things

I thought they might be to replenish any soakaways the diggers damaged.

@@ProjectUniversalUK possibly. They looked like french drains/ land drains to me. If universal is building, they’ll have to completely re-do the drainage anyway. I work in ground investigations. Typically you don’t replace or fix land drains or french drains especially in agricultural land.

Loving your content. How about doing some content from the local villages of Stewartby and Wootton looking at the site from there and maybe speaking to some of the local residents?

I like the idea of getting footage from the villages, that could work. Talking to people though, not for me. Ultimately I'd like to be able to queue up like every other person on opening day and make a video of the real Universal Studios without anyone noticing I'm there.

At this stage I am not too concerned about recent announcements about expansions to Epic Universe and potentially Hollywood putting the kibosh on Universal Studios UK. Those plans would have been well developed and discussed with local authorities well before any of the public consultation about US-UK here. Keep everything crossed for this project and hopefully we'll hear something from Universal soon.

No, I don't think Epic will have any effect financially on this Uk park. Unless ofc everything goes tits up!

Do you know what is going to happen to the houses on the Northside? I assume Universal will do some sort of compulsory purchase?

That seems to be a tightly kept secret. Nobody knows what is happening there yet apart from, I guess, the property owners.

For this video it was a DJI Mavic air 2s. My favourite drone for the time being. I also upload huge files to KZbin rather than compress it right down to a small file. This video was about 10gb when I uploaded, KZbin will then compress it but it still looks good.

I doubt it, the plans show it clear of universals land. I did a video on it a few videos back called massive update, skip to about 6 mins to see what I think will happen.

I’m really worried about what the announcement of doubled Epic footprint purchased land (with permission to use however they like, and fast tracked permits promised) means for Universal UK 😟. I hope it doesn’t mean they’re going to pour more money into expanding that park already instead of building here.

No no no, this is a completely separate project. Remember Universal/comcast are a larger company than Disney. They have the capital to do this.

The Epic site expansion has been in the works for years. It’s unlikely to have any impact in the UK - it’s more about keeping options open for decades to come.

Thats just future planning to expand the park won't likely be used for years. A lot of parks own way more land than the actual park area for the purpose of expansion and don't even touch it for decades. Buying land is extremely cheap relatively speaking to these companies. Once you got it you know you have room to breathe in future. They have zero parks in Europe i don't see how that would jeopardise their plans in Europe thats a huge continent / market to still tap into.
