Born in 89 and grew up 45 minutes from Orlando! Been to the universal parks, dozens of times growing up! My middle school and high school years fell upon the peak time for much with the parks, especially Halloween Horror Nights! Parks have changed a lot. Now a days they are far too crowded most of the time. Mellowed Hallow Horror Nights too much for my liking.. The Hulk is still incredible! Most of their rides are great! I do miss the old ones like Jaws, King Kong, Back to the Future, and Earth Quake. Their replacements are great, but wish an ideal world where we can still have them all! Disney was ok, and Seaworld is cool. But I was definitely team Universal growing up! So glad I was raised right in central Florida! Had it all. The theme parks, the beaches, the swamps, the sand pines ❤️

@@samandsha7 me too. I miss King Kong in studio tour so much. I was a baby with my family & Back to The Future ride. I love both rides so much. Except Collapse bridge. In my childhood memories.

Shame they got rid of the Back to the Future ride, that was my favorite. They should bring it back and move Simpsons over to Islands Of Adventure.

I seriously doubt they would do such thing... the Simpsons area is one of the most popular alongside the Harry Potter areas. BUT if they did brought back to the future back I would be thrilled =)

Jurassic Park Collection Agreed. I haven't been to the parks since 2006. And the lack of the BTTF ride doesn't live much to look forward to aside from Jurassic Park:RA, Jaws and Halloween Horror Nights. But that's something at least.

They got rif of the E.T. ride for a couple of years, but then brought it back and it's still one of the most popular rides; and Earthquake has been changed for "Dissaster" the ride, which is almost the same, but now they let you know they are "filming" a movie and you are an extra

Man, mid to late 90s were PEAK Universal Studios Hollywood. It's hard to pinpoint an exact time when most theme parks were at their best, but Universal in that era?? E.T. Adventure, BTTF: The Ride, Backdraft, Animal Actors, Special Effects Stage show, OG Jurassic Park, Blues Brothers live show, The Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show, Universal Monsters Live Rock and Roll Show, also to include the currently running Backlot Tram Tour and Waterworld show....my god that was an incredible park to visit. It went from a full day park, to a half day park at best. Show up at opening, and you can ride most rides by noon and just spend the rest of the day going on the tram with like a 20 minute wait max. I've never seen a worse downgrade of a theme park. Too busy trying to compete with their Orlando parks instead of doubling down on what made the Hollywood park so special. By the way, I LOVE Nintendo, but the Super Nintendo Land ain't it. At least not in Hollywood. Too small. And only one ride? Btw, the ride sucks ( and again, I LOVE Nintendo and Mario Kart). Universal Hollywood should have just been it's own thing. I'll get off my soapbox now.
