This is what bugs me about theme parks. They cost SO MUCH, and they’re almost always so crowded I can’t enjoy them. For someone who really hates crowds, they’re a nightmare. And it really sucks, because I’d like to enjoy the parks, too. I just can’t because of how many people there are. I wish they had one day a month where tickets were heavily limited but cost a lot more so people who hate crowds could have a good time, too. I want to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida someday, but the crowds will drive me insane. :(

I don't know how crowded is too crowded for you but I've been twice, once in early January and once in May. In January, the crowds were much quieter and the weather much nicer, in May the crowds were really quiet in the morning and later in the day, but it was HOT! Early in the morning and night time are always good for smaller crowds! You should check out crowd calendars and if you're staying in a hotel near the park, consider one that gives you early access to part of the HP parks, such as Cabana Bay, I stayed there both times and got one hour of early entry which was when the lines were nice and short and you could take photos without other people in them :) I hope you get to go one day and enjoy your time there!!

visited usj last february & it was so hard for me to leave. i cried bcs yea its the happiest place in the world as u said. i was so so happy once i entered. i will definitely come back to japan just to visit usj. everything was so cute & as a potterhead, it felt surreal that i could see the hogwarts right in front my eyes. the butter beer tastes so good as well!

If I get the express pass for HPW do you think I’d still need to get to USJ heaps early or would it still be fine to get there after the park has opened seeing as I won’t have to line up for the Harry Potter rides with the pass?

Our longest Waite for any ride was 15 mins and we didn’t have to Waite to get I to Harry Potter world at all

Hello Kim and everybody ! :D I have a question about the Hogwarts Lights Show : How to process to see this show ? I plan to visit USJ in July, but the Harry Potter's access are only available at the morning or at the beginning of the afternoon. Of course, I would like to visit the rest of the park since it's my first time (and I don't know when I'll be able to come back in Japan). And, for sure, the lights show on the Hogwart's castle seems really amazing ! Do you have some advices to help me on planning my visit for the best ? Or is possible to go visiting the Harry Potter's place in the morning, then leave and come back at the evening to see this show ? Sorry for my bad english... USJ is in Osaka which you can get to in 3 hours from Tokyo on the Bullet Train :) I'm going in May! You definitely should go, I went to the Orlando one which was so much fun!

Looks like you had fun at USJ. That season pass has probably paid for itself already. It looks like the Evangelion, along with Attack on Titan, Godzilla, and Sailor Moon rides will be there for the summer (May 31 - August 25) according to the USJ website
