In today's vlog we head to Universal Studios for their Mardi Gras celebration! We tried some delicious foods, saw live music, caught the parade and even got to see the new Tribute Store! Easter egg: On the Tribute Square map, the street on the bottom is named Comte Écureuil Ave. Comte is French for count, but can also be translated as earl, and écureuil means squirrel. So one could translate Comte Écureuil Ave into Earl [the] Squirrel Ave. 🐿️

My theory on the tribute store is they started and realized how popular it was and did it for a long time, but it became expected to always have one and it is probably a huge amount of work. I wonder if “smaller” seasons/event stores will be in that location but maybe “bigger holiday themes (Halloween/Christmas)” might be in the larger location. It would be so much to fill and change out that larger location all the time. I’d even be okay if they only had a one-room tribute store for smaller themed times of the year

Hey Tim. Was great to say hi to you right before you sat to eat the brownie by the Mexico booth. If you go back again, you HAVE to try the gumbo. Tasted great and pretty close to the real thing. Was bummed that IOA only had 3 booths though. But had a great time there. Can't wait to do it again.
