Nope! Don’t touch The Mummy ride! Get rid of Dino Play area by Jurassic World and make some kind of drop-zone style ride there. Or get rid of some of the restaurants and put a big E ticket ride there. Personally I’m cool without the Transformers ride too

I love spinning coasters. My first one was sierra sidewinder at knotts and loved it. My dream coaster to ride is ride to happiness in belgium. That one doesnt have theming, but it looks like so much fun

Sir you know exactly what a roller coaster is. Stop the cap with the statement, “They have Zero roller coasters” and why would you assimilate Jurassic World to a roller coaster when it’s clearly not smh 🤦 they just don’t have any high thrill roller coasters. Uni needs to keep the Mummy because of a basic fact. It's apart of the OG Universal IP. People don't pay enough attention to how many properties Uni has that's NOT a Universal property. They are aware and they have to balance. They can't just be a theme-park full of IP that's not there's. On top of that they need to maintain SOME type of original Universal Monster IP in the park (ride wise). The Mummy needs to stay and after this mornings news, I'm starting to wonder if my original thought was right. I think they're about to do a massive revision of the ride all together. For those who don't know, this morning Blumhouse/Universal just announced a new (more horror leaning) Mummy movie coming out in 2026. It would make a lot of sense for a revised Mummy coaster to cosign that film's release (the same way the How to train your dragon land will be open as the live action How to Train Your Dragon is released). Mummy coaster needs to stay and get a facelift.

The technology going into the new Universal ride did not exist when Westcoast Racers was on the drawing board. There was no way to control the spin on a roller coaster like this back then.

“Universal adding amusement rides to out do six flags” (or something like that). Not trying a hot take here but you can have the EXACT same rides at a theme park as an amusement park, the difference? THEMING THEMING THEMING! THEME-park/AMUSEMENT-park, one is a “immersive experience” and the other provides just “amusement.” Yes I do agree that the two are (SLOWLY) starting to overlap here in the US. But nothing like Europe, most parks are (what Americans would consider) “theme parks” there. But here in the US we have a perfect dichotomy of our parks. One side being “theme parks” (universal,Disney, etc.) and the other “amusement parks” (Six Flags/Cedar Fair/…well Herschend is up for debate, kind of breaking that dichotomy, at least for two of their parks). Yes we have “amusement parks” like Fiesta Texas with Dr. Diabolical, amazing pre-pre-show and pre-show then… meh, when it comes to the ride theming, because the queue theming is mainly there to entertain. While something like Hagrid’s is a complete ride/story/experience in one, from before the time you enter the queue to when you leave. Not just the ride and queue, but the surrounding area(s) as well. I know I’m probably going overboard here, but I’m tired of people complaining about theming, which i understand, but true theming goes way beyond the queue and a story. And way beyond just a specific ride, the entire park has to be an immersive experience to be a true “theme park” in my books. A good queue and a pre-show on a ride or two does not give you “theme park” status. This will probably upset some of you, but we are all entitled to our own views right? That is me saying nobody is right and nobody is wrong here, beauty is in the eye of the beholder right?❤
