I absolutely Love Universal Studios, so this is great. Except for the lag

This is one of the most realistic parks I've seen yet. (And I am not talking about the behind the scenes stuff...) The coasters are realistic (that doesn't happen very often in Planet Coaster), the amount of theming is not over the top (which, again, doesn't really happen a lot), the areas could easily be build by a park like Phantasialand or any of the Disney parks. Altough most areas are not very original (tropical, wild west, Asian), the layout of paths is very realistic and well thought trough. Compliments to the creator!

I guess this park is definitely inspired by PortAventura Park in Spain.

I can see alot of inspiration from Portaventura in this park with Polynesia, Manchu, the teacups building and some others. Amazing park!

It's disheartening to see such a beautiful park designed with so much detail and then can't put any peeps in it to watch them enjoy it. I don't know much about the software that Frontier uses to create Planet Coaster, but it seems like there could be some kind of tool to flatten or adjust the poly count to your park once it's completed so the frame rate will be smooth and you can watch your peeps walk around.

did anyone else recognize "Dragon Kahn" beein a nearly 1:1 replica of the original Dragon Kahn in Port Aventura? (this station building here is much better) Anyway... this is the most beautiful park I have seen so far. oh... just realized... there is more "Port Aventuar" rides ;-)

Manta looks very close to the real life Manta at Seaworld Orlando as well. Possibly a replica, but I can't tell. My memory of the exact layout isn't that great.

I wish frontier would fix the lag. Tired of having to restrict my creativity because my top of the line PC cant give me more than 12 fps when building huge parks
@BDNeon6 жыл бұрын
They really could do more to improve culling at extreme distances. The lowest LOD's aren't nearly low enough. If something is like miles away I don't need it rendered with the same quality I'd need if it was 20 feet away...

What I think would be awesome for a game like this (being a management game as well) would be like say for instance a Ride coming to a stop on the chain lift and being given the option to evacuate the train or try and get it going again by shutting the ride computers down the restarting them. It would a lot of realism to the game and then those catwalks would have a better purpose in the game.

Can't recall the park, but there was another you should months ago that had just as bad a framerate as this one. Beautifully crafted park with such wonderful attention to detail, but that's where the problem lies. There's just too much detailing, especially the unnecessary backlot areas showing trucks, loading bays, water recycling, etc. Sure, they were perfectly crafted and look awesome, but totally unneeded since they just add to the lag. Why was every coaster's lift hill set to the slowest speed? That makes no sense. Sure seems like the wooden coaster went faster than any of the others in the park.

For the coaster footage use cheat engine and make the game speed like 25%, then just speed it up in editing

Some of these gamers probably do work as video game or movie animators. Maybe this guy who created this park actually created it using a separate video game engine of his own and then loaded the graphics into this roller coaster creator and then built the roller coasters around a pre rendered image..
@Channel5Gaming6 жыл бұрын
This isn't a roller coaster creator, it's a game. Which doesn't support modding. Everything here was hand placed assets from the game itself. Hundreds of hours of in game work.
@DerekMckean6 жыл бұрын
Channel5 Gaming Wow! Kudos to the game game creators towards creating such an intriguing game that almost compels players and average Joes to be creative! Of course, an actual game or creator cannot compel you to do anything. But once you see all the possibilities you can do with the game, it kind of secretly drags in potential players because it drives them to want to create their own manifestations using the current assets! As a famous theatre director, Robert Barton from the book Acting with Style, said acting is the manifestation of your inner Drive. Although this game has nothing to with acting, these parks that are created really show what is in the mind of people. And again although creating roller coasters in a game have nothing to do with acting, both are bonded by artistic expression. And it's just awesome!
