Luna absolutely blows away pro tools and studio one…. Which I used both for years… I love the workflow and the color and warmth of the sound it gives to every song I work on it just can’t be matched by pro tools or studio one without analog gear in house… keep it up universal audio you care more about improvements than pro tools ever has and at this point I think you have released more updates that are actually helpful than pro tools has in their existence.

They need commit and support for all plugins. A lot of plugins crash. It's still not quite there yet but love using it!

PT has significantly more versatility in how it allows you to route audio in the box, and there is really nothing Luna offers in terms of editing or mixing that PT has not had since V 2010. Saying Luna blows PT away seems to just buy into the hype that all the UAD stuff has THE SOUND ! ! ! that no other DAW can offer. The plugins are amazing, but I can get the same result using Console into PT and not have to sacrifice any of the signal path options I currently rely on for my workflow.

Is there a way to commit or freeze a track? I'm running into issues with DSP and CPU overload. All the other DAWS have the feature to either commit, bounce in place, or freeze a track to save on CPU.

You can use the Mixdown feature and then drag the file back in. This is the current workflow until we add Freeze.

I opened the new Luna on my M1 and no matter where or how I click, it selects all. For the life of me, I don't know if it's an issue with M1 or some simple setting I've somehow missed. Any help?

How does Luna handle dither? I I can’t find info about this anywhere. Logic has a dither option I can use or I can add dither in the last plugin on my master bus. Please advise how you intend us to address dither on export. Thanks.

LUNA auto dithers as needed. If you don't want it added, export at the current bit depth.

@@UniversalAudio Thanks for the reply. Perhaps a small note can be added in the export section advising of this. I exported a 16 bit master and added dither in Ozone because nowhere did Luna let me know they where going to do that for me. So I ended up with a double dithered master which of course is not desirable. The ability to turn the auto-dither feature off would be very useful for some of us as well. Thanks again.

Sure, you can make/use as many buses/subgroups as you like that all feed the main out.

There aren't Master faders the way PT does them, but you can use a bus track as a stereo bus master just as you'd use an Aux Input in PT as a master.

Make sure the Audio Units versions are installed. Also, LUNA will not show stereo plugins on mono tracks.

Well, Routing to Bass from Instrument does not work at all. I cannot use MIDI track?.. And I cannot use Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 (gives error). No video track. Thus, this is useless DAW for orchestral composing, and for movie composers.
