This movie made me a saxophone player and I can’t never be so grateful to have been 6 years old back in the 90s watching this art

My favorite, of Spike’s. To me, the movie is perfection. The acting, cinematography, the storyline, and, of course… That music. Oh, that music. Blended so seamlessly…it just has to happen where and when it does. I could go on and on about this one. It definitely lives in a small place in my heart and mind. And of course it brings me back to more innocent times in my life.

This film does not portray real people nor their interactions realistically nor believably, it deals with archetypes. In this regard, it is more like a mythology of jazz, or like a Shakespeare play, then filtered through Spike Lee's urbane perspective and style, his bravura editing and explosions of color. And all that bebop always bubbling through the background! What a feast.

Seems like you've been closely studying those film disclaimers, such as "all characters are entirely fictional and any resemblance to any living person is purely coincidental". But very well written. My compliments.
