Screen Actors Guild Award winner Tina Fey ("30 Rock") and Paul Rudd ("This is 40") star in the new film directed by Academy Award nominee Paul Weitz ("About a Boy"), about the surprising detours -- both funny and sad -- we encounter on the road to happiness. Straight-laced Princeton University admissions officer Portia Nathan (Tina Fey) lives by the book, both at work and at home. But Portia is caught off guard when she makes a recruiting visit to an alternative high school overseen by her former college classmate, the freewheeling John Pressman (Paul Rudd). Pressman has surmised that Jeremiah (Nat Wolff), his gifted yet very unconventional student, might well be the son that Portia secretly gave up for adoption many years ago. Soon, Portia finds herself bending the rules for Jeremiah, putting at risk the life she thought she always wanted -- but in the process finding her way to a surprising and exhilarating life and romance she never dreamed of having. By turns hilarious and heart-warming, Portia is an unforgettable screen heroine.

Jeremiah being mean to her “only reason got me in cause thought my mom” was silly and stupid and plot line used way too many times. Mom or not, she helped him get in. She got him in she was not his Mom and HE knew true parents already. If anything? Jeremiah should have showed a lil compassion towards Portia. Seen that twisted in movies way too many times. I think she would have responded with “well I got fired over getting in a kid that isn’t mine”. That trumps his lil tantrum 😊
