Thanks for another great lesson. About the #9. In Sweden we call that a +10 chord (or -10, depending on context). As you said it contains both the major and the minor third. So there is a 3 and a raised 10 (the third, one octave higher). That way of thinking makes the funk-tion of the chord clearer, at least to me . Will definitely put this lesson on my todo list

Great content, thanks. For those of us keyboard nerds who are more rhythmically challenged, I’d like to suggest throwing in the count the first few times, maybe by saying it or adding a count overlay. An occasional count-in would be great, too.

Ha, I was just thinking about a way to substitute the guitar solo in booker T‘s version of Born under a bad sign (what a horrible pain to work out the different drawbar/chorus/perc combinations but I guess it’s a great lesson on how to create b3 sounds) and might just have found an idea 😛 Thank you!
