University of Utah IEEE Milestone Banquet, March 23, 2023

Legendary computer science researchers from the University of Utah, including John Warnock (Adobe), Ivan Sutherland (Evans & Sutherland), Nolan Bushnell (Atar), Ed Catmull (Pixar) and more gathered for a banquet on March 23, 2023, to celebrate their contributions to the development of computer graphics in the 1970s. The banquet was part of a two-day event in which the U received a IEEE Milestone plaque for its work on computer graphics. Bushnell and other former students of the U's founder of the computer science department, David C. Evans, talk about their pioneering work at the university.
