Thanks for your questions Osadeba, it does not mean that they have a visa, but that the university can now support them with applying for a visa. Once you have an unconditional offer letter, the university will be able to issue you with a CAS, which you can use to apply for a visa. Sometimes you will need to pay a deposit to the university before they issue this CAS (called an AFP), but they should let you know about this when you receive your unconditional offer. That is exactly what you can do! If you apply without having completed your IELTS, you will receive a Conditional Offer. At the moment we should send you a Conditional Offer within around two weeks of applying - however please note we have the January intake arriving in two weeks, so there may be a few delays due to the university being busy! Hi Kranti, in the event that you do fail an interview, you may still be given another chance. Especially if you fail for a reason such as not doing enough research. However at Cardiff Met, we request a Personal Statement, and if this doesn't give enough detail, or we think we need to know about different aspects, we'll request a new Personal Statement. You can wait until you hold an unconditional offer before making your AFP if you prefer, however if we've already received your AFP when your offer turns to unconditional, we may be able to process your CAS sooner.

You should be able to get an Unconditional Offer if you meet all other requirements. As for English Language, there should now be some tests which you can book. Hi Sarbjeet, thanks for getting in touch. At Cardiff Met we do consider students who just have work experience, as long as it is 5 years or more. So 7 years plus of Managerial Experience would certainly be considered! It would be a decision for the Course Director though, who would assess your experience when you make an application. Thanks for getting in touch. If a university is offering a discount for full fee payment, usually you would still need to pay a full deposit, but only the fee MINUS the discount. You would make your deposit payment once you have an unconditional offer, but before your CAS. I hope this helps, Jack

I got my conditional letter in sept and my last date for making payment was in nov so I got enough time to manage all these things. I would say that in some situations you may require an Unconditional Offer to apply for an external scholarship, however it wouldn't necessarily increase your changes if it's optional. Often students can receive a Conditional Offer just because there are a few documents outstanding, or an interview pending. Hi there, if you have a conditional offer, even if you accept it, you will also need to meet your the conditions of your offer. Until you've submitted all of your conditions, it won't change to an unconditional offer. However if you don't have any conditions left, then it will chance to unconditional. Hi Mubashira, once you have met all of your conditions, you should receive an unconditional offer letter before you have to make your deposit payment. The £3000 payment is to receive your CAS, which you'll need for your visa. You can of course pay the £3000 as early as you want, but it won't delay you receiving an unconditional offer letter. Sometimes we need to wait a little longer for the Course Director of your chosen course to fully assess the application, and they are currently a little more busy than usual, with making changes due to COVID.
