Edit to my previous comment on here: I've just landed my first IT helpdesk/Dispatch role with an IT company!! After watching all your videos and taking some of these workshops and adding them to my CV I have finally got my foot in the door! I have been interested since a pretty young age, but I could never got clarity on the pathway and got into a field spawned upon me in the beginning. But now I really want to follow my passion. I just took early retirement from a company I worked at 27 yrs. I maintained a massive 911 system and it consisted of most of the elements you are describing. My problem is finding employers who can wrap their mind around the responsibility and complexity that I functioned in for decades. What they can wrap their mind around is that I do not possess any of the cool certifications out there (my company did not care- but our internal training was well beyond these outside certs) and are quick to dismiss me as an old "has-been". So I am taking a year off to get a bunch of certs so I can get a job. Wow. Great content. I will certainly knock them out and good info on how to mention being a part time student. Thanks.

excellent work mate! I recommend you try and tailor your CV to match the description of the job you’re applying , which means you might need to remove some stuff you worked in your previous company that may be irrelevant to the target job. I’m sure you’ll knock out the certs quickly!

The Google CyberSecurity course is taking me longer than planned but im halfway through it now.I been doubting if I could even break into cybersecurity with all the info Im not yet confident in but this helps a lot. Amazing how you listed the points we can put on our Resume. I think that's one of the hardest things. @UnixGuy I just meant if it's possible to do a video on writing a resume, especially for us who don't have any CS background and are coming from different fields like the trades. When you showed the example like for MS Defender, it was clear, but I'm clueless about how to revamp a resume when switching careers. I didn't see a video like this on your channel, so I was just inquiring. Thanks for responding to my comment. Great channel, especially for us newbs in CS.
