The thing I liked most about Argentina was how incredible kind everyone was. People were always coming forward to help whether we were on a city bus, in a buffet line or just trying to purchase something in a store. One gal gave me her private phone number so I could call her if we had any problems. The owner of one the AirBnB's we stayed at actually offered for us to stay in his private home when we were unable to find a room when we came back to Ushuaia.

I was raised in Buenos Aires but moved to Florida, U.S. a couple months ago and I really felt the difference in so many ways. The people, the non city life, lack of transportation here. So many things that Argentinians themselves don’t notice they do have. Most of the Argentinians complain about what they don’t have (of course they are right in many of them) but for me personally, I learned to appreciate my Buenos Aires a lot more❤️

You really did hit a lot of essential points of the country that aren't that talked about generally, and tbh you made me appreciate my own country so much more. As a vegetarian porteña who mostly eats vegan (cuz lactose intolerance) I energetically recommend you to try some of this places ✨ - Buenos Aires Verde (Palermo): Is an amazing restaurant, probably the best when it comes to veggie - tasty - tru healthy food balance. - Gordo vegano (Belgrano): This place is not just aesthetic, but also tasty and abundant food - Ainara (Palermo): Classic argentinian ice cream shop, but 100% vegan - Guerrin (San Nicolas/Obelisco): This is not a veggie resto, but the most iconic argentinian pizza place, and they have 2 vegan options!! (vegan margarita is a must) -And I could go on, but last, if you want to try classic argentinian empanadas (as you probably know, the classic ones are made of meat, but there's tasty vegan alternatives!), Futuro veggie (Recoleta) or Gordo vegano (Belgrano) are the two places to go. I love seeing you are really enjoying buenos aires and have now a very accurate view about it ✨💖 PD: yes, the world cup is going to be a crazy moment, specially on Argentina games, there's going to be no one at the streets, because everyone, even people who normally don’t care that much about soccer will be seeing or hearing the game

You have to go to a place called bariloche but in winter, the ski resorts, the snow it's just amazing, I've been there, and ushuaia it's pretty cool too, as foreign people we think that latin america has only tropical weather and amazing beaches but Argentina its so different from the rest of latin america even the culture, cheers! great vid btw.

I'm glad you can recognize the reason you can live so comfortably here (money-wise) is because our economy is struggling. A lot of foreigners have been coming here and encouraging others to do the same, without taking the time to think about the situation in the country for those of us who don't have a foreigner's income. I love when people say they enjoy life here, but gentrification is a real thing and I don't think these people realize they're part of it!! I hope your stay continues to be great!! Our country is really beautiful and I'm glad you are enjoying it so much!

im from a small town in the south of argentina and its always been my dream to live in buenos aires but i still can't afford to move there. its so sad that people from all over the world can live their best life here except for the ones who where born in this country 💔 but its lovely to hear you saying such nice things about it! living here can be so exasperating sometimes, we're pretty much blindfolded by how bad the economic situation is and it's easy to forget how beautiful the place we live in can be. and btw, patagonia will be waiting for you :-)

Soy de Neuquén e iría a buenos aires solo a pasear, es una ciudad más grande y obviamente hay más quilombos, además todos se van a vivir allá y está re saturado
@guillermomansilla60182 жыл бұрын
@tocryindutch2 жыл бұрын
@Javierolizola89 Жыл бұрын

Recommendation: If you like quiet and beautiful places with sea, beachs and nature, you can visit the Atlantic Coast in Buenos Aires about 400 Km of the CABA: - Mar del Plata City - Villa Gesell City - Pinamar City Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina

I've started watching your videos recently, and I must say that you truly are a beautiful soul! Thank you for giving such an honest and heartwarming insight into your experience as an exchange student in Argentina. I really appreciate the fact that you state everything that you are currently enjoying here and also mention how painful and difficult our past and present economic and political situation is. As a young adult, it's getting harder and harder to picture my future living here and working for my country, my generation is losing faith. But hearing you speak in such awe makes me value over and over again everything we have. Thank you for loving this land and for finding casual magic here! If you ever come to Entre Ríos, I live in a city where you can see an Uruguayan town from our riverside, and sometimes it's even possible to shout from one shore to the other and get a response back. Uruguay is just a bridge away :)

If you like nature and active people, you should go to Vial Costero in Vicente López. It's a giant park in front of the river and sooo many people go there on weekends to roller skate, bike or have a picnic/drink mate with friends or family. I think you'd love it!

so glad you re enjoying here you re an angel and so kind and gentle. you can go visit other parts of the country too, every corner of the country is different, you can go from a a dessert, to the city, to a glaciar, waterfalls, beaches and more, and i truly think all of them are beautiful, so its worth visiting them since they are all so different. its true, the world cup its gonna be something, we are so excited and we are waiting so hard for it, its exciting times, the city becomes different, the energy in the air, i love it. i think the nightlife, the joy and dance in clubs, concerts, being kissy, football (!!) and all that its related to our general passion about things we love. also did you try mate? thats a very important part of us, you may have noticed. thank you for making us remember the good things we have. well hope your experience continues to be as good as now or better, i hope u leave with good memories from us even though im not from BA but a good impression from Arg in general, and go wanting to come back, have a good day and life.

I’m in Patagonia right now and it’s very expensive that the dollar blue rate basically makes things normal priced (things are just as expensive or more expensive than Chilean Patagonia). Can’t wait to make it up to Buenos Aires in a few months.

Oh my! I met your channel just today and searched for your book about studies because i am struggling, and i study at University of Buenos Aires, been here for a year now and everything you said is real, it's really amazing living here, i'm brazilian and i'm studying medicine. Such a coincidence that i knew you because of my uni and you're actually living in the same place! Just loved your channel, your book especially. And i should recommend you to know the library's, one more beautiful than the other, my favorite ones are Biblioteca Nacional de Maestras y Maestros and Biblioteca Nacional Mariano Moreno.

Hey Jade! So nice to hear you’re enjoying your stay in BA! Make sure to check other places in Argentina. I hear you plan to go to Patagonia. If you don’t have many days, I’d recommend going to Bariloche and stay around 4-5 days at least. Beautiful place, great beer, chocolates and pasties, plus amazing landscapes (e.g.: the Cerro Campanario view point is considered one of the world’s top panoramic views by National Geographic photographers)

Thank you for the video. I left my home country in 2008 and I'll have to go back next year for maybe 3 to 5 years and I've been dreading it. It's nice to see a place I used to live in through someone else's eyes.

I just finished binge-watching your Buenos Aires videos. Thank you! I'm from the Province of Buenos Aires, near Ezeiza international airport, but I've been living in the US for a year and a half. Missing BA and feeling a bit homesick, so being able to live vicariously through you is appreciated. Hope you enjoy your trip to Iguazú, it's great there this time of the year. Butterflies and more tegus in your future. Cheers. P.S. Thanks for talking about universities being free and good quality. I have a PhD in biology from UBA, and when I tell people in the US that I studied in Argentina, they're like "are there universities in South America?" 😒

I'm really glad you're enjoying it so much! To be honest, leaving here all my life I'm often gravitating towards the most awful and difficult parts than the actual nicer ones, so it's refreshing to like, fall in love all over again with the city through someone else's (your) eyes! I'm actually from provincia, as in I live in Buenos Aires but like 2 hours away from Capital (but I go to Art Uni there, so 4 hours ride everyday yay....), but I'd like to recommend anyway if you have any free weekend with your friends to go to Tigre! It's a really pretty place, you have our biggest amusement park there right by the river , so many friendkly markets (there is Puerto de frutos, which translates to like, "Fruit Port" where people sell pretty fresh veggies, fruits, but also so many handmade crafts) it's a really beautiful, it's kinda far from where you are like 2 hours away maybe? But it's worth the while. Oh and you can also enjoy a trip by boat there! It's cool, hope you get the chance to visit. If you ever need another friend in Buenos Aires, count on me! I'm also fluent in english if that helps at all hahaha, it's not the best because is self taught but! Good luck & stay safe
