I never really comment, but i cant believe the timing of this video. Yesterday I had a therapy session which made me cry because I realised I didn't have any goals. I'm 30 and don't know what I want to do when I grow up. Haven't finished watching, but taking this video as a further sign that I need to manifest some change.

Hi ! This can sometimes be a sign that we are not listening to our intuition at all and are not hearing our own internal voice. This can happen either if you've never learnt to hear it (trauma, unhealthy family patterns...) or if you go through a long phase in which you teach it to shut up (by not honoring your wants, by shaming yourself, by forcing yourself to do things for others or because you "have to", rather than because they make sense to you). In reality, everyone is naturally drawn to some things. But it is hard to hear what calls to us above the internal noise. So we have to relearn it. The best guidance I can give you is to look out for what brings you JOY. Not just satisfaction, not just a feeling of achievement, not temporary numbness, not an excessive high like drugs do, but a deep feeling of joy. When you start doing those things, and not talking yourself out of them, everything tends to become much clearer little by little. You're actually learning about YOURSELF and about who you really are inside. Goals and ambitions then derive naturally from that. So basically, reconnect with yourself, get to know who you are without the social norms and obligations, and things should become more clear.
@laila29354 ай бұрын
Just in case someone needs to hear this: whilst there is absolutely nothing (!!!) wrong with having a life bucket list, it is also completely valid not knowing what you want from life and not having set goals. Living in the moment is just as valuable. Not everyone has to chase a dream and it is especially not healthy to put yourself under the pressure of having to achieve certain things. So, if you have a life list, good for you and if you don't, there's NOTHING wrong with just simply living. The most important thing is that you are happy. Goals come and go, and goals change. Go with the flow.

One goal of mine: be rejected fifty times. This is a target I’ve had in previous years inspired by a Ted Talk I saw: I used to be so scared of rejection I’d often find myself no even applying for that job, going to that audition, asking that person out etc, but now when I get rejected it’s more positive as I can say great one for the tally and one step closer to my goal. You’ll be surprised how often you actually DONT get rejected for something that seems so aspiration and at the end of the year you have evidence that you really unashamedly put yourself out there and went after everything you wanted, even when it was hard

Jade, I've been watching your videos since you started university. They have inspired me so much, but I never dared to dream about pursuing similar goals because I live in Iran, where such beliefs are not common, especially with the crashing economy and the difficulty of obtaining a visa. Years later, I am applying for medical school in Italy this year. You have been one of the biggest influences in shifting my mindset, and it brings tears to my eyes when I watch your old videos and think about the person I was back then compared to who I am now and what I am aiming for. I have never met you, but my heart truly goes out to you. Yasna

This video was so motivating!!!! It made me realise that for my whole life, I've always thought about things to acheive, to take part in, but somehow they were only ideas, that I forgot about or realised they were way out of my reach. But thanks to this video, I'm finally going to write them down, as I already love making lists. Also, I did see a few comments about how you need to have money or support or free time to acheive many of these things, and while I do think it's true for some part, I also think that this list is more about thinking about what you actually want to improve in your own life, and this will of couse vary depending on the person and their background. Of couse some people have less opportunities than others, and more obstacles. But then, some people's bucket lists could be more about breaking free of those obstacles. (ie, escaping from your toxic household, learning about a disability if you have one, recovering from trauma, giving a better life for your family...) And if you do come from a priviledged background, some of your dreams could be to help those who cannot dream, like a lot of the things you put on your bucket list.

Due to stress, struggle and failure I just do decade list. This decade is: 1. Get on track with all open tasks 2. Get back on track with learning multiple languages on a satisfying level 3. What resonated with me most was your goal of finding out about alternative living situations (outside of the nuclear family). As my friends and I have completed our Master's / PhDs and simultaneously started living with partners, we've grown apart soooo much. It's absolutely heartbreaking how we've gone from living with each other and being there for our mile stones to talking maybe once a week (while living in the same city) is ... hard. Especially when you are the only one not wanting to be in a romantic relationship right now and don't have that primary person who's you're go-to for just about anything.

Thank you for this video, Jade. Every minute of it enraptured me. ❤ I'm 29 this year, know that you inspire me too through your videos and your journey, and I'm glad to be a part of the little corner you've created. ❤ I'll be moving out and living on my own for the first time ever at the end of this year (no family, no friends, no roomates or housemates or even any pets!), so for my main goal really I just want to be able to be as comfortable, content and at peace with myself and my life as much as I can throughout my 30s. Finally putting myself first, finally being able to be selfish and focus on what I what to do, not on what I think is best for others. My 20s were full of me taking care of others and being self-sacrificing and staying in a capitalist corporate job that I hate, just to put food on the table and a roof above heads. But in my 30s, I might finally be able to let this all go for good, and maybe dedicate some years of my life doing volunteer work. I've been dreaming about travelling the world with a nonprofit, just lending my time, energy and skills into doing /good/-something I'll actually be happy and proud about. I'm very passionate about the topics of refugees and the environment, so I'd like to be able to contribute something along those lines. It'd be a bit of a challenge to me, this setting off alone. For starters, I'm quite out of shape (have been working long, sedentary hours from home since the pandemic) and I don't have domestic skills! (My cooking skill is almost nonexistent, and I don't know how to change a light bulb or fix a leaky sink, and I'm scared to squash cockroaches 😱) And I'm already quite lonely as it is, so the total solitude could either be liberating or overwhelming. But I know this is the right step for me, and I hope I'll be able to grow and be at peace and happy with my life by the end of it. ❤

You inspired me to write down my goals for the future. Most of these goals I want to achieve in my twenties rather sooner than later haha. It is hard to choose which goals I want to share with you, because by watching your video I realized I do have a lot of things to put on my impossible list. From traveling to foreign countries, volunteering and writing. Sometimes I feel lost and I thought an impossible list would make this feeling worse. But it gives you a certain grip on life, it is fun to manifest and my path suddenly has less trees. So here are my three goals: I want to complete Nanowrimo as well this year, I want to write/publish an article about women's football in the Netherlands from a historical perspective (following my thesis), and I want to fall madly in love ❤ Wish you a happy saturday!

I love your energy and spirit towards experiencing life. I was literally thinking about this as I walked through Munich today with my giant backpack and messy hair, still feeling safe amongst strangers. There's SO much white privilege present in travelling and embracing new adventures, thank you for raising this!! I think one's own mindset towards the world is still pivotal to experiencing moments of casual magic (e.g optimism, openness towards strangers, looking for goodness and joy), but I can imagine it's *much* harder to continually cultivate that when facing real microaggressions, questioning your safety due to racism, trying to find anti-racist hosts etc

to be honest, I really struggle with writing a list like this, because I get overwhelmed with all the things there are to do and to achieve in this world. I thus feel like I don't know my own goals. Jade, I have an incredible appreciation for you, have been following you throughout the beginning of your channel, and am so grateful to have a content creator like you on social media! As a person with similar intentions and worldviews, I want to ask you (and possibly suggest new podcast/video ideas): - socializing: I have been kind of struggling to make close friendships with people who I can truly feel like myself with, share and gain values and have fun. How do you socialize and make close friendships without giving away from your values- or beautifying yourself? - what kind of content feeds you, your motivations, and your spirit (take this as a really wide question): podcasts, novels, books, or other content creators you would suggest? - religion: have you thought about deeper questions like death, afterlife, and humanity's long quest for a Creator? What motivates you when you think about the afterlife (if you believe) or removes you from the gloomy thoughts of death (if you experience it)? - social issues: do ou recognize internal biases and internalized racism against atrocities faced by some groups, how do you reach to reliable information sources? so so much love and appreciation, and always wish you the best possible growth

I'm a medical doctor from Pakistan, the same age as yours Jade. Somewhere deep inside my passionate soul, i have piled up too many goals like it has always been my dream to be at Oxford , study there and set free from all the boundaries that have been keeping me behind. Believe you me Jade, you've been a golden ray of hope during my professional exams as i always switched to your vlogs whenever i felt emotionally stranded. Ruby and you both are my inspiration and i cant thank you enough for being there to help others in this journey called life. I just cant find your book in Pakistan and it makes me unhappy though i have always wanted to read your work... God bless with love❤( Dr. Yumna)

Lol this is MUCH more than 3 both big and small goals, but I'm jumping into post-grad and worklife soon so I'm going to start working on my bucket-list from now on: - Start a puppetry theatre company with myself but preferably with others and make puppet-plays for different audiences: children, teens, young adults and adults + tour with the plays around the country - Kinda related to the last, but auditioning as a puppeteer in theatre-plays and for TV - Move to a new city in my country - Travel more in my own country as well as new countries both urban and countryside, especially Europe and Japan are my goals for now - Read and watch consistently new books/manga, films/anime that I have on my watch/read-list - Participate in a vipassana course - Have a consistent and healthy habit of journaling, meditating and limiting my screentime to pursue creative activities - Use social-media as a creative outlet for some my interests - Go on more one-on-one dates/hangouts with new people just for the sake of talking and getting to know new human beings (recently initiated and had my first one with a guy I've been eyeing for the longest time, gave me a huge confidence boost!!) - Start free-drawing/doodling again to heal my inner child - Go on more consistent hikes/runs in nature to be closer to it, did that a lot as a child - Be an actor/extra for on-location historical and local Norwegian pageant plays - Volunteering even more for theatre festivals and music festivals - See some of my all-time favourite artists for the first time in concert whom I've missed out on - Currently thats Tame impala, Twenty one pilots and Harry Styles - Not the biggest priority as of now, but take a masters degree either in puppetry or something drama/theatre related (An added bonus is that I need a masters to someday teach high school drama students, something I also want to do)

Use my year in industry to network (my internship is in the industry I would love to go into). Become more confident living in London and living alone. To take the time I need to work on my health and rehab. To speak at a conference (ive done panels before but would love to give my own talk). To find the time to continue voluntary work (my life is gonna get a lot more busy soon but I want to make sure that my voluntary work doesn't take a back seat) Id love to write a book (non fiction, about how dying (briefly) has given me an amazing perspective on being able to say yes to everything). And how youve got to not wait to do the things you want to, because you never know how long youve got. So saying yes, to opporunities is so important. Id also love to be able to listen to a recording of my voice and not cry. (Since my accident my voice has changed a lot and i find it so hard to listen to recordings of myself now, id love to have the confidence again to do something recorded, where im not the one editing it) I want to improve at my sport (wheelchair badminton) and find a para club to join.

Jadeeee, I absolutely love this video. I remember watching this video back in the days and creating my own not-so-impossible list. I hoped that you would one day make an updated video and here we are. I’ll check back with the video to see whether I have commented as well. I also love how your values have changed ex. the numbers game or running or health. Also as a German, I would have never thought that you would learn German and even live here. When I watched your Germany videos, I didn’t live in Berlin and now I do and remembered your study spot video. That was for example on my list and I went to Cafe Neun Drei as well. I will definitely check my list now too. I always loved your rawness and these kind of videos. Additionally, the Odyssey Plan video was very helpful. Wenn du mal nach Berlin kommen solltest, gib Bescheid! Ich möchte dich gerne kennen lernen ❤ Grüße aus Berlin✨

Hi Jade, to help get proficient at tarot, I would recommend trying out the Thoth tarot. The artist -Lady Frida Harris - has made the art so evocative, and has added such depth & a meaningfulness to the art (she even put in all her knowledge of colour theory and mathematics (projective geometry)), that it speaks to the soul very easily. And Aleister Crowley, who commissioned the art and wrote the accompanying guide, has a reputation, but his knowledge of tarot & adjacent divination systems is vast. A very powerful deck, IMO, and one that lifted my reading to a new level. All the best with whatever path you choose!
