I am 22 years old and have just taken my GCSE's this year. I dropped out of school because I was really badly bullied, so I never ended up getting any GCSE's. It was partner who finally convinced me to go back to college because I was so unhappy being stuck where I was. To be honest, I am proud I even managed to go into the room to sit my exams. I have terrible anxiety and it made sitting my exams so hard. Even just going in the room was an achievement for me in itself. I just hope all of this pays off in the end! Good luck to everyone! You'll be fine! I got good gcse grades but not as good as I would have liked and beat myself up over certain grades that were still good. A year later and those grades I was annoyed at literally don't matter

I had my results day last Tuesday (I live in Scotland, this was my first proper results day) and to be honest once it's all over I kind of felt a bit silly for worrying so much! I was like you and worried so much till the minute I opened my text (we can get them by text/ email), just keep telling yourself that it's done now and as long as you did your best nothing terrible is going to happen.

Results day is in 2 weeks and I’m honestly driving myself crazy thinking about it. We were told in January that exams were cancelled, we went months without a plan of action or knowing what was going to happen whilst being off school for lockdown. Came back in April, were told that we were in fact doing exams and we only had 2 weeks to prepare. I ended up doing more “assessments” than I would have done if I had just sat my A-levels. I was not mentally or physically prepared and I’m so nervous and scared that I haven’t done as well as i should have.

One thing that really helps me is my favourite bible verse - Jeremiah 29:11 ("for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future") I believe God has a plan for each and every life. Whatever results you get, whether good or bad, they will be a part of God's plan for your life. I hope everyone does well and try not to worry too much!!
