great method but sometime really hard to do when the foot hole is very small and your position is giving a lot of pressure on this foot.

Yet again another useful video from the most useful KZbin channel. Kinda wish this was around this morning as I had a pretty epic (and painful) foot swap which resulted in a huge bruise on my knee. Now I know what to do and how to do it properly

@@CatalystClimbing I was out on Tuesday and Thursday, tried out this technique. It worked well and is something I'll keep practicing to have in my climbing arsenal, especially for some harder routes. Thanks again for the climbing tip.

Would've come in very handy with a 7a (my second ever) this evening. Rubber-marked Cadbury's button of a foothold.. Managed to top it but that foot switch could use some work. Thanks for the tip Louis!

An absolute masterclass!!! I have been climbing for over 7 years and never heard of the last method. I’ve got my magician switches dialed from hundreds of home wall laps on old school plaster jibs. However, this is difficult to utilize on slab/no hand climbing. Would your rolling work better in these circumstances? What would you suggest? I’ve always prided myself on my footwork and would love to learn more! You guys are such inspirations and provide a wealth of knowledge to a newer youth coach like myself! What I wouldn’t give to pick your brains on all sorts of coaching/climbing topics :) thanks for what you do for the community!

I'm an extreme novice so don't take anything I say very seriously, but I will say that the jumping method definitely works without looking. I mean I haven't done it much yet so maybe situationally it gets more complex, but I think it was inaccurate to say that you have to watch what you're doing for the other methods. Like with many other skilsl, it just takes body awareness and a bit of practice/ comfortability.

Appreciate the video! This is one area i struggle with. Could you show us your technique for a little nubbin which is a fairly solid hold for 1 foot but only a max of half the width of your toebox? This is the one that i struggle with the most where it almost has to be the magicians table method. Any words of wisdom for these?

Those who succumb to the myth one should only stand on the front of the toes seldom learn this on their own. I would add; when doing this remember to press into the wall with your leg/ foot

ok but like, what do i do the foot hold is hook shaped stabbing the shoe, so good when standing straight but rly hard to swap on with the very small surface (on the route i'm doing, i have very bad handholds, and not swapping isn't an otion for me)
