Squishy Yooshi cuz he does not know what is a high five lol? Later in the game, Aerith taught him how to do it and thats where i love Aerith because she's bolder than Tifa. Aerith keeps her insistence quite well until Cloud learns what she really wants.

Surprisingly enough mentally he could not pass the SOLDIER test, he has enough academic ability and his sword skills also look natural, and his determination cannot be underestimated, how he forces his abilities to the limit in FF7 before Crisis

@@Oddfosshaugbagi I love Cody, but only Sakurai was in contact with the developers, only he knows how the developers wanted Cloud to be and gave him directions. If you play Remake in Japanese, the way he expresses Cloud is completely different. They're like 2 different people. Also, the English version's dialogues are completely different from the ones in the Japanese, so no, it might be official, but the only canon dubbing is the Japanese one. That's the dubbing that uses the actual script. Cody did a great job with Cloud, but not only he just voiced him in Remake and Sakurai did it since Advent Children, but he wasn't in contact with the Japanese team like Sakurai was. He was directed by SENA (Square Enix North America) and they have a history of messing with the localization for FF7. They even messed with facial expressions. You should really play in Japanese to understand what I'm saying.

​@@laurajanco2iunless you both speak Japanese, and have a good understanding of Japanese mannerisms and voice inflections, you aren't gonna get anything out of playing FF7 with Japanese VA bc the English subtitles are just closed captioning for the English dub which as you said, is often not a direct translation. I also find the English cast better too, yeah sometimes the dialogue is changed, but what a lot of ppl don't seem to understand is oftentimes a direct word for word translation won't work. Sometimes there are things (words, phrases, expressions etc.) that hold more weight in the original country (in this case Japan), so it has to be changed to an equivalent in the foreign country getting said material to get the same point across. It's tough to go from Japanese to English without changes to dialogue etc. bc in Japanese they have a lot of words to express more rudeness or gruffness that just don't work in English as the example. Like the words "you" and "I." we literally just have you, but they have anata, kimi, and teme, and they are not 1 to 1 interchangeable with each other as they give different degrees of harshness, aloofness, etc. we just have "you," so in order to give the English audience the same feel the character gives off, the translators often have to compensate by changing the dialogue some. It is what it is.
