Now if I parked my car where these cops parked at the start, I'd be done for driving without due care & attention and/or obstructing the highway. The 2nd cop's logic on obeying a lawful order is fundamentally flawed. An order is only lawful if it enforces a law, irrespective of whether or not an officer believes it to be lawful, which I think is also the point PTTP made. 1st copper has a problem admitting he's wrong. Most troubling, as always, is how this would have gone with a member of the public that had less good debating skills. They'd have been arrested, and probably taken a plea deal. These aren't good cops (as best exemplified by cop 2 when he asked PTTP if he was giving a lawful order, sarcastically). They are bad cops, because good cops would have done the research first and read the limitations carefully and properly

11:55 So the cops stop their car in the middle of the road. They don't even pull into the side of the road. They just block the road. And loads of cars and cyclists have to navigate around them. They are the ones causing an obstruction. And even though being at a scene means they can avoid the RTA they still have to do their best when possible to not inconvenience others. So unless a real emergency they can't stop on a junction or in the middle of a pedestrian crossing and not in the middle of the road. This is not a real emergency, just a stop and talk. Complaint should be made about their driving skills, or lack of.

Oh and no emergency lights so traffic coming behind are potentially going to assume the police car is going to move shortly and wait behind the car and cause even more traffic problems. All because the two cops want to get out and have a look at a drone flying over.

At 15:50 a white van gets very close behind the police car because the driver can't tell that there is no one in the driving seat. It then has to very awkwardly maneuver around the car.

They way they block the road without a care in the world. If I did that, I'd get a ticket. Also, I suggest that when they start doing the whole "This day and age", "Certain people have nefarious intent" stuff, ask them how many times a police station has been a target of a terrorism, it's never as far as I am aware. Focus Pocus always asks that, and they never have an answer for him.

Catford police station in 1980. A bomb disguised as a torch was left on the front desk. A policeman picked it up and switched it on. It exploded and he lost his hand. During the nationwide rioting in 2011 a police station in Nottingham was fire bombed. Also in 2021 a police station in Bristol was attacked by rioters. But no serious terrorist attacks on police stations have occurred other than in Northern Ireland during the troubles, but that's a different kettle of fish altogether.

@@NickSmith-qx7qg Yeah, I don't know if your top example has the same elements of the crime as someone flying a drone over a station - not suggesting you are saying that it does and just trying to explain there have been. But I would say that none of these events happened due to filming taking place beforehand, or anything related to what PTTP is doing. It is far more common for citizens to be the target of terrorism, as that is the way terrorism works.

Clearly they wanted you to land the drone due to its weight. The air space situation was a seperate topic. If you lacked the legal know how they probably would have charged you. I'd say take it forward to a claim. They stopped your actions and they shouldn't have done.

You can fly in a CTR with a sub 250g ! That's why dji app allows you. You need to correct them that you only have flight restrictions in an FRZ (flight restriction zone). Otherwise keep up the excellent work👍

It didn't matter if he could tell that it's sub 250, even if he read your bag and was 100% certain it was a mini, he would still continue because at that point he thought the 50m rule still applied to mini's. The 2nd cop was alright at the end but was being childish about his name tag.
