Ive played 4 of these now and its by far my favorite out of them. I tried 2 of the 3.5" screens and found out really quick that a 5" screen minimum is for me. I cant do small screens or small devices (hand cramp). So that limits my choices a lot. No vertical systems, no systems under 5". Then I tried the RP3+ and it was ok but I hated Android. Im a new user and the setup of the x55 is much more easy for me to configure. Also the screen looks better to me. T618 is ok and morr powerful but I like older retro consoles as thats what I grew up with. Maybe a few years down the road when ALL PS2 games can be played at 720p/60fps minimum and the user interface is super easy to use i will look into upgrading. I dont want to have to deal with Android. Its too wonky and complicated as it is now. I need more of a plug and play solution. Im not a tinkerer, i actually like to spend my time playing games. The x55 allows me to do that with minimal headache. Warning to all noobs who purchase the RP3+.... get ready to tinker your head off and be frustrated when things dont work right.

Thanks for the video! Yes, a tear down would be great! The Powkiddy RGB10 Max 2 had an iffy D pad, too. I was able to heighten it a bit, and added some binder rings over the D pad contacts. It helped get rid of the phantom diagonals. I’m curious if the X55 has a similar setup, and if I’m able to use this same fix. I’ve ordered an X55, but it hasn’t arrived yet.

I just installed Jelos and although you have to make a few tweaks for individual consoles and games, it's made a huge difference in the way games run.

@DesertFoxNL yep. It isn't perfect but it's an improvement. But some games like Crazy Taxi 2 are still rough. I'm certain there are extra games on there now since upgrading to Jelos but not absolutely sure.

Install JELOS, its the official OS, not sure why you are using the old outdated OS? Unless you have had it for a while, it no longer ships with this OS and the new one fixes a lot of problems and is updated frequently

He has the old software on it. The new JELOS software/frontend makes everything to PS1 very good, fast interface and PSP/Dreamcast on Frameskip1

I test and review products for Amazon. This was one I choose to review. It's a pretty sweet handheld loaded with a good bit of old school games. Capcom Play System 1,2 and 3 is one, with a bunch of Capcom arcade games. It has I'd say close to 100 games+, all retro. NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance. Neo-Geo, Arcade Classics and several other categories with several games on each. I tried out Street Fighter, TMNT, Mortal Kombat and they all played fine. Slight hiccup with Street Fighter here and there, but nothing to ruin the game/round. For FREE, I'd say it's pretty much badass. Lol. But seriously, this is probably the BEST handheld since the PSP, and this has PSP as well as PS1 emulators in it. Also M.A.M.E, Capcom Play Station, PlayStation, PSP and others. If it's say $150 TOPS. Would be the most I'd pay. I'm unsure what they cost. Good Game System!

I know this is a review video but I don't know how else to look this up or ask this question. I got my x55. And it was working great. Got it updated to the latest jelos. The games were working as of this morning. But I just tried to play it again and the main menu loads. It allows me to select a game. But not matter what game I select the screen either goes black, completely white, or the weirdest one green. Is this a problem with the rom SD card? Edit update: so the console still works kind of. I tried to configure some buttons in the psp. Now it's unusable entirely. But the main problem at the moment I'm seeing is I cannot load from main page directory. It would seem I can only load up games when loading the emulators. So I have to start retro arch 64. Find a game and it will start that way. But will not work the other way at all. If someone has any pointers or advice please lead me to it. Thank you.

If Powkiddy made ships they have made quite of bit of boat anchors or ships that floated for a short time before sinking. They had a few of good ones mixed in between the bad ones.

It's more the question what formfactor you like to see and use more often. X55 does haves a bigger case design where the rgb30 is compact. Both are really comfy to play in the end. And... what games do you want to play.

Mine came with jelos, but the HDMI doesn't work. Powkiiddy told me there was some kind of production problem but didn't give me any recourse. It's like saying I spilled my soup on you --- OOPS! Not only that but i purposely orderd the 2 controllers so i could play it through the tv, but with hdmi not working i wasted my money on the controllers. I ordered one with 90,000 games , but if i ordered one with less games i would have gotten the screen protector. Why is this important? It's because one screen protector arrived cracked and the next one was soft ,dark plastic and didn't stay on. The seller actually asked me if it was the wrong product. Now I'm tempted to do without the screen protector cause what if the next one is no good?

For the price, it's AWESOME! But it needs a lot of optimization, you shouldn't be forced to run dreamcast at 320x240, the proc should easily get 1080p. It's the same proc as the RP3+ right?
