First off I'm 68 years old and I've played guitar since I was nine years old in 1961. I also taught well over twenty five years. I try to listen to as many different styles as i can. I'm normally not a fan of what I would call speed metal of drumming with a lot of 'blast beats,' but I just found this band by accident and I just have to say WOW!! I'm totally blown away. When I was in a band in the '60's we were known as a heavy band playing Led Zep, Steppenwolf, Hendrix, Ten Years After, etc. If I were a young player today I'd probably be playing this kind of stuff. Thanks for posting.

This is the only band I've ever seen play a fully *immaculate* 1/16th note intro in 160BPM (Tonight We Ride) and it made me immediately grab the tabs and practice for hours. The bass solo in this track is pretty epic, but my favorite part is actually just how laid back the string players manage to look during their solos. I feel like I would be making a lemonjuice face trying to play something like this.

It's amazing the songs that children find soothing. Realizing you probably weren't serenading her with a full band with a Marshall stack blowing out the windows 😜. My son was "Dead Eyes See No Future" by Arch Enemy (full band version believe it or not) and my daughter was "The Fire Never Dies" by Killwhitneydead/Line of Fire. I guess having metalhead parents helps.

"Apex" is a tremendous single on so many levels. Usually, songs over 8 minutes in duration tend to drag on for far too long & become an exercise in filler self indulgence, but not in this case. Everything just clicks with this number from the resounding percussion, to the all encompassing guitar riffs; & of course, the unforgettable vocals of Brittney Hayes. My, my, my can this woman sing. Jesus! You could put this track on a incessant feedback loop & I'd never grow weary of it. I love metal bands who aren't afraid to harmonize the chorus hook. "Can you follow me? Follow me to Apex." Once you hear that refrain, it will never leave your brain. It's like a permanent branding of your noggin. In addition, I also enjoyed how "Apex" started as a surreal ballad, galloped into a fast paced no holes barred anthem, & finally returned back to it's slow & subdued, humble beginnings. Nicely done Unleash The Archers! You have absolutely created a masterpiece here in the epic, Heavy Metal realm. Incredible.

Well said, but it's "no *holds* barred." The term came from pro wrestling, in which they used to make a big deal about illegal holds and maneuvers, which heels (the bad guys) always used behind the ref's back. Nowadays, it's just called No DQ or a street fight.

Hello mountain, remember me Child of your womb I return from a perilous place To the warmth of your hollow Embrace me Steady giant, monolith Lend me your heart I am weakened again, tired Mend my scars As your power, it sinks into me Your roots take their hold My body as one with the earth My blood as the stone The mountain, my home Heavy walls enclose me Cover me in endless warmth And now the dreams will come Lucid freedom takes me To a world no longer run by the laws of relativity Fly out beyond the stars Where the wind takes me away And leads me through the dark Defying gravity Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Through a meadow running Feel the sun upon my face And the air in intoxicates Rushing like a river Toward a waterfall that takes me out beyond reality Away, you lead me through dark Defying gravity Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Can you follow me? Follow me to apex Can you follow me? Brittney's voice is always an 11/10 on an inspirational level - this song just blows my mind as she adds sheer beauty to her vocal quality. As much as I love her power vocals I hope to hear more of this tone woven into future works. Way to go on the guitar work too gents - I loved the Zepp vibe and also just had a weird Joe Satriani feeling in the solo that I've not heard in your other works I don't believe. So much tasty tasty music. Omg can we just get back to seeing bands live! UTA is on the top of my list.

It is great to see a band develop over time. To get better and better . This feels like a massive success when compared to so many other bands that start out good and lose themselves over time trying to evolve and progress their music. UTA started out great for sure, but they are only getting better as they go.

Her voice is so full of raw emotion and edge and the vibrato is out of this world! A vocal coach brought me here. I was watching some reaction videos of their song Awakening and decided to check out some of the other songs. Gotta say, I'm really digging this band so far and think I might be a fan! lol

There I was, still knocked over by "Awakening" convinced it couldn't possibly get any better when I stumbled into this epic track of impeccable technics and flawlessly blended rythm patterns. Man this album is so going to be added to my all time collection! It's been a looong and rocky way for the band let's face it but heck have they finally nailed it! Shift up UTA, this is it 🤘

I'm glad that the first time that I heard General of the Dark Army a few years ago, I didn't immediately slam spikes in my ears. It was tough to get into and only through it playing in the background a few times did it finally grow on me. Then, when I forgot about that song, Tonight We Ride pops up and I thought that was a killer band playing. Then I realized who the band was and how different it was. Then, Test Your Metal blew me away. I suddenly had the urge to jump on the UtA bandwagon, but only after they played at a close enough venue to go see them. Go figure. Fast forward to this year, forgot about UtA again and Cleanse The Bloodlines pops up. Amazing song, but not because just the music. Finally understanding the story telling aspect of their songs is crucial to really enjoying them. It's not just a band with grumble, grumble, drums, drums, drums, screams and a guitar solo. There's a great complexity to the lyrics on some of the songs that make you feel like you've stepped into the dark side of the book store, but you're loving it. The Matriarch is still growing on me, as will Apex and hopefully, they will make their way back down to the eastern side of Pennsylvania soon. I'll bring my first born son as payment. He'll be too busy on his tablet to notice.

AND still my favorite album. I got into this band when I heard TONIGHT WE RIDE, and Brittney's vocals were . . . .well ain't nothing can properly describe it, and that Drummer Scott KILLED it. In a most badass good way. All bands I hear always emphasize and make me hear the guitars as lead, and yeah they cool, but this one here, I was actually able to hear everything. I tuned in to the drums mostly with guitar and bass complementing it and Vocals telling the story which BY FAR is awesome. Damn near saw a movie in my head by listening to it.

Okay, this is one of the best songs I ever heard from UTA (aside from Awakening), especially at 5:17 where you can definitely tell that they got their inspiration from someone like Iron Maiden. Only my two cents though. Why this song has not gotten way more views than now is beyond my understanding. 😑

This is by no means my usual fare when it comes to metal, but I watched alot of reaction videos for The Awakening and was convinced it would be the best track on the album. Now having spun this album in its entirety daily for weeks on end and understand fully the concept behind it, I genuinely can't choose a favourite song, keeps changing every so often and at present Apex is the current ear worm for me, from this cd. A nod to The Irons indeed but like every other track the musicianship the arrangement the production and particularly the singing is excellent. Masterpiece is the main adjective I continually blurt out when expressing my devoutness for this album...
