Lyrics: UNLEASH THE ARCHERS - Awakening To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die Come to me, awakening Follow my voice, come to me Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never Lighting my way in the night To roam; to never die

@@alexiz0013 depends on what kind of metal you like - if you dig UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, you should / could like at least some (if not many) bands of this selection: KAMELOT, NIGHTWISH, SABATON, EPICA, POWERWOLF, SYMPHONY X, AMARANTHE, EVERGREY, THRESHOLD, AYREON, CIRCUS MAXIMUS, SHADOW GALLERY, AVANTASIA... There's a lot more, of course, and I left out almost all of the older "classics" that you probably know already. This is the most frustrating/delightful thing about watching people who are incredibly good. In order to get there they have to be so efficient with every movement that it looks effortless. I'm pretty old so maybe my mind has fallen-down and broken a hip or something but I swear I feel like I'm sitting in my best friends room listening to his old Kenwood tuner and turn-table, I remember it was so loud that we had to wait for his mom to go to work at the bar right down the street before we cranked it up and then there were only the neighbors to contend with. Luckily, my friend Dave (who like myself was 14 years old) was big for his age (6ft 2in)) and was constitutionally incapable of backing-down from an adult. More to the point, neighbors that were ready to call the cops or kick a hole in the wall one minute grew docile and accommodating the next, after he'd shouldered his way into sight like a refrigerator in a flannel-shirt. So we had at least an hour or two to test his speakers real well, all four of them, Panasonic's, which introduces us to the next question: Why Panasonic's? The answers to that question are many, like 1) Do you know what Bose cost? 2) If you go cheap but not unknown you get a kind of deal and 3) visually, four speakers are louder than two. I stand by that. We turned the volume up for groups like Mott The Hoople and Uriah Heep and Iron Butterfly and Mountain and...shit... Kaptain Kopter and the Twirlybirds and Todd Rundgren and Donovan and Vanilla Fudge and Roy Buchanan and, I'm done. All that just to say that I get hit with this feeling of exhilaration and deja-vu when I hear this song, not just because of the powerful, driving, sound of it, which reminds me of a piece that would accompany the rallying of the cavalry or the gathering of The Magnificent Seven or going to Riven-Rock to face the Orcs but also because it is couched in the language and symbolism of the books I read and the authors I loved, the same authors that rock-bands went to for inspiration: Tolkien, Poe, Castaneda, Howard, Homer...Lovecraft. Of course, I realize it's been taken-up a few notches by the introduction of Gaming and computers and Anime and the great movies they make nowadays but still, there is a certain spirit that ties the past to the present and I really feel it through this music. I said all that without even touching on the valkyrie vocals or the instrumental excellence or the pacing or the drum-opening or the three-piece guitar squad assault on the senses...fuck it, I'm going to listen to it again, loud. (* The most incredible difference between music in the 70's and music now are these tiny, walnut-sized headphones we get to listen to now, so incomprehensibly small but so loud and crisp, my headphones when I was 14 or 15 years-old were enormous, like something you'd wear as a member of a tank-crew in WWII, I used to have to turn sideways to walk through a doorway, they were THAT big. Count your blessings 2024, we are very fortunate.*)

Metal is a genre that delivers a lot of things emotionally to me. This however made me misty eyed the first time I heard it. Where I usually find determination in darker place, this composition is bright. This feels like determination driven by hope which is a sensation that I could use more of. Incredible work. Brittney, I am not sure if you will ever read this, but I'd like to thank you for this song. I am not sure what is UTA's current lineup, so I'll mention Grant, Andrew, Nick and Scott in this comment. I'd like to thank the 5 of you for giving me the best song I've heard this year. I didn't know of you guys before, I think I came across your song through a Spotify playlist or so. Nevertheless, this song now means a lot to me. It's one of the most powerful, beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. From the first time, there wasn't (and there won't be) a single moment where this song won't mess with my emotions. I have wet my eyes and had goosebumps almost every time I listened to Awakening. Music helps define who I am, and this song messes with the innermost part of my being. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the fast-paced dueling guitar riffs, for the powerful and larger-than-life drum lines, for the creative usage of a jaw-dropping sound of that bass, and most of all, thank you for the TITANIC vocals you have delivered in this song. Thank you for that heartwarming chorus. This song now lives in my heart.

This song is amazing and catchy, but once you actually are able to see and visualize what these guys are doing it just adds a whole new level of depth and takes the song from 10 to 11. It's not a "traditional" music video but rather them in their studio playing the song which puts more emphasis on the performance of the music than the theater of a video. Watching the fingers of the guitar and bass players and the feet of the drummer and Brittney's face as she hits those high notes just really showcases how incredible this band is. This is actually the song that I discovered this band on and I haven't looked back since. Also, the production is incredible. The mix really highlights each instruments individual role and prowess and that bass playing is so sick and complex!

Yep - exact same thing led me to finding the most amazing metal band in Canada today! I wanna know why they've not blown up the charts yet. They need way more exposure!!

Alien weaponry was the first napalm records band that was recommended to me on my phone a few months ago and since then I have been giving many bands a listen to. Unleash the archers was no different. The music hits fast and intense and the vocals brings me to cloud nine. So happy this was recommended and I see no end in sight. Stay awesome!

not sure what all the lyrics are but I feel like this this should be our national anthem.

To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die Come to me, awakening Follow my voice, come to me Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never Lighting my way in the night To roam; to never die

If you're Canadian, petition your government. I wish this could be the US national anthem...
