When she's singing in this more lower register, I actually get huge Amanda Marshall vibes in the voice. Through Stars on the Abyss album has the same sort of vibe.

So a quick primer: Personality-wise: they are all really nice, nerdy Canadians from BC. Scott and Brittney are coupled up and have a kid. Imagine for a moment how much musical talent THAT kid has and get excited for what might be coming in 20 years or so. Several of them are also double-threats. - Brittney is not just an incredible singer, she's also the songwriter, and if you sit down and listen to Apex and Abyss straight through, you will be floored at how well those two albums together work as a piece of fiction in addition to being amazing music. Character development, world building, redemption, even some genuine suspense, all through the medium of song lyrics. - Andrew is not just an amazing guitarist, he's also got a really solid clean voice. You only hear him singing occasionally, but it's a highlight when it does show up. - Grant is the other guitarist and the harsh vocalist. He's also apparently quite involved in charitable work for the arts. - Scott is their drummer and as far as I know that's all he does ... but what more do you want? He's an amazingly good drummer. - Nick is their bassist and the newest member of the band. He seems to fit in great with the rest of them. They are my favorite current band, hands down. Great music, great storytelling, great people.

I've always thought she has a lot of Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickenson in her voice. Also...I was at one of the concerts the footage was taken from...SUCH a great time.

5:02 - Lee Aaron? Both Canadians, too. "Phantoma" is another concept album (like Apex and Abyss - I believe Brittney's working on the graphic novel, too). The other single they recently released is "Green And Glass".
