Awesome! I've used NovelAI and enjoyed it. The only drawbacks I found are that you need to have a very strong start to the project (that the program can use to learn your style) and you can't use it to help come up with your outline/plot for plotters. Novelcrafter is my favorite, but I've also used and enjoyed Sudowrite. If you're not familiar with Sudowrite, check out Nicole Broussard's channel and books (they are in Kindle Unlimited and are fantastic). I'd love to show how to work with NSFW content, but I don't want to anger the YT gods. Maybe I'll schedule a webinar...

I've been experimenting with this the last couple of days, and the model that I've been liking the most is Dolphin Mixtral, specifically Dolphin 2.6 Mixtral 8x7B. It seems to be a good mix of following writing prompts accurately and fairly natural prose. It doesn't seem to need the hand holding to give you a decent length or go off and write what it wants. It also seems to follow simple category based style descriptions like "modern historical romance" or "classic harlequin" pretty well. I'm happy with the testing I've done with it so far anyway.

Scribe (4€) has no LLM access. Hobbyist (8€) allows you to connect using your API key to use the AI to write prose, however you don't get access to Workshop Chat. Let me know if that helps!

Hi BSB, great video, very informative. I don’t have any heavy themes in my stories, but I heard that John Wick-style action is considered NSFW too. I didn’t know that until recently. Do you have any suggestions for settings that would work well for action and fighting scenes like John Wick, Starship Troopers, Aliens, and so on? Or would the same vaules your using for your “Love Dev NFSW” and “E Dev NSFW” work for that as well? Or maybe a good strating point? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and settings. Start with Mistral Medium and test both 0.6 and 0.9 temps to see which one your like best. Mistral also recently released Large, which supposed to be between Claude 2 and ChatGPT 4 in quality. However, my sources are reporting that it isn't as good as Medium and they are seeing much more AI-isms in the output. Don't forget that now on OpenRouter.ai, they have suggested parameters to get started with the various LLMs. Just go to the page for that LLM and click 'Parameters.' I just published a video on that the other day.

I have a question: under the "Erotica Dev Editor NSFW" the model on top is: Auto openrouter/auto. Can you explain why? Is it that you want the Workshop Chat to automatically choose Openrouter (and not Openai for example) in the chat? And does it need a set temperature or not?

Great eye! Actually, that's there because OpenRouter has a feature that will choose what it thinks is the best model for you to use based on your prompt. If your prompt has NSFW, it's going to likely get sent to Mistral. Otherwise, it will most likely use GPT-4 Turbo. And I currently have the temperature on that one set at 0.6 so it should follow instructions rather well.

Were you using Claude 1 or 2? That might be a big factor. Also, correct my assumption if you're using it through OpenRouter or not.

@@r__b6095 Claude 1 isn't great. If you're writing fiction, Claude 2 is the best since Claude 2.1 refuses usually. The issue with trying to run NSFW content through OpenRouter is that if too many people do it too often, OpenRouter may lose access to the Anthropic models. And that hurts everyone. Back to your original question, you can get a little more sensual content out of Claude 2 than you can (prude) ChatGPT, but you're better off only using the moderated models for plotting and chapters with no explicit content. Try out a few of the unfiltered models and see if you like them. Mistral Medium is my jam right now.

In Claude 3, I just had it do it on its own by just giving it chapter description and have it write out the scene. What it gave was more steamy than I'm writing. Lol

I don't even like the term "NSFW". In this day and age when most people aren't even going into an office anymore. The concept is a holdover from the last few decades of people working in cubicle farms. I like the term "freedom of speech" content better. This content embraces freedom. I've had AI's that refuse to even write something that has a gun involved. So thrillers are not possible with those AI's. I don't like being held hostage to the whims of what an AI developer thinks is "appropriate". They ought to have no filters on them at all. It's the responsibility of the user to know what is and is not appropriate to write, it should not be enforced on the user by some arbitrary rules.

If you use the "unfiltered" LLMs, you will avoid the censorship. Mistral Medium has been working great.
