8:40 Pathing Scute swarm would trigger Nadu ability and we couldn't see that trigger going off causing confusion since if you landed a land it would of made a landfall trigger for scute swarm before path resolved, going to take the guess you hit a nonland and then went to put the island in play
@MTG_Basics6 ай бұрын
Yep and it was a mistake on not showing that on our end. Huge mistake since if it hit a land as most folks have pointed out it would had been game changing!

Pathing the scoot swarm triggered nadu and the land entering the battlefield would trigger scoot
@MTG_Basics6 ай бұрын
True, but the resolution of the path would need to happen before the land enter the battlefield (so no scute swarm). It was a high risk high reward play
@dominicroliz28916 ай бұрын
@@MTG_Basics so because the scute swarm was in play and you got an island from the nadu trigger the scute swarm triggers making a new scute swarm. Then the path resolves making the copy scute make another one.
@MTG_Basics6 ай бұрын
@@dominicroliz2891 the shown island is from the Path to Exile
@LaryLaser6 ай бұрын
So Scute has to resolve for path to target it, then that triggers nadu on the stack and reads when a creature you control becomes the target", so it would be in response to it being the target of path, you reveal. if it's a land put it on the battle field. Scute would in fact see it immediately and trigger creating a copy then the stack would clear and path would kill the original. The path had not been resolved before the land entered. Stack was path target scute< nadu trigger< land enter< scute trigger.
@roycho876 ай бұрын
@@MTG_Basics unless the trigger from path flipped a land. which in that case it would have duplicated scute and then upon resolution would have created another landfall trigger meaning you would have ended with 2 scute's in play. and it's likely a 30ish% chance to happen based on the likely construction of his deck

10:03 not sure you can deflect swat a counter spell….
@LaryLaser6 ай бұрын
So no...but yes. You can use the swat to direct the counter to swat.
@ysendy70276 ай бұрын
you can, what you do is use deflecting swat to change the target of the counter spell to swat itself, so effectively nullifies the counter spell.

This isn't cEDH. No one won by turn 3 or 4 so it's more casual high-powered decks.
@bill53346 ай бұрын
This is very incorrect. One of the players attempted a turn 2 peer which got countered, which would have potentially given them a turn 2 win. Whilst they aren't using the most meta decks, based on the cards they are using they are definitely cedh level. I have played many cedh games that did not end on turn 3 or 4, and there are many cedh videos on KZbin that do not end on 3 or 4.
