I think hybrids are much better in the wilds of Texas than BEVs, but I have seen several videos in the last few weeks where Jeep hybrids caught fire and blew up. One was in a garage and blew the garage door off so I would hope that you would keep yours outside. I understand that there is a recall on the 2021 to 2024 years for that problem.

Yeah, mine is parked and charged outside. Just saw a BMW i8 on the side of the road that just started to smoke. I'm guessing it caught fire after that. Not sure if the fire department got there fast enough.

I have a Rubicon too but mine is the V6 but it go's everywhere here on Nevada I never slip tires much it just go's but I bet yours is much heavier then mine being a Hybrid.

Add a roof top carrier--with a bit of engineering and fabrication, you can mount the thermal turret on top, sneak in close , and then stalk in close on foot, have doors off and top off, or see if you can get within 100 yds for a shot from vehicle. That is assuming, you wouldn't want to run in gun in a new Jeep. Def impressive on that incline! For plates: I think something in German that means quiet (RUHIG), but then it might get misinterpreted as "Are you High?. " Or a take on hog in German-schwein, but with a shh for quiet- SHHWEIN.

My 2013 weighs about 4,000 lbs, some 3,000 lbs lighter than my 1996 Dodge Cummins Turbo 4 x 4, which meant a lot less effort to tow behind my RV in the mountains. I would not want the extra weight of those batteries. At least it is a hybrid so that going to west Texas, like Alpine is not an issue. Did you get it in Bastrop? HH hybrid for a license plate.

Got it in Cameron. They had it on the lot for a month without anyone looking at it according to the sales guy. Not surprised. Nobody in the country is really interested in hybrids or EVs.
