Thanks Ape, I have considered going to these for use in my bass boat..Sure would be easier than lugging around lead acid batteries...What do you think?
@TheSmokinApe3 ай бұрын
I’m not the biggest fan of the lead just given the weight.

@@TheSmokinApe true, plus they are always causing corrosion problems..If you figure 1 cranking battery and 2 deep cycle batteries in a boat, I bet it is 150 lbs plus...Us bass fisherman love to save weight to squeeze out that extra 2 miles per hour in speed...lol

Is the Li+ battery water tight? Or if a cell is punctured, what will be the result? Fire?

I was shopping for a vehicle starting battery and a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery that looked a lot like this one, but different name and graphics, popped up on the choices for $150. Whoa! Twice the Ah of the Pb acid starting battery and about the same price/ less than half the weight. Then the specs....yeah, something like a 100A max draw, so not so good for vehicle starting.

Yeah, they wouldn’t have the cranking amps

Them batteries are coming in handy for those affected by hurricane or storm damage . Most of them are for 48V systems MAX . Some of us need 60V like in some E-scooters . Most off grid stuff is 12/24/48V systems but some 36V systems. Mostly from Golf Carts. This battery will work in 36V . All must be same . With the low internal resistance of them . get them to same state of charge when putting them in parallel. 73

All my power stuff is 12v with some controllers able to do up to 48v. I’d like to get some 24v batteries next

@@TheSmokinApe RM Italy has a 24V 600 watt amp. Some 24V radios out their. A lot of military radios 24V . My compressor cooler is 12/24V

600w would be sweet

Nice battery. I'd immediately put some red paint on that positive terminal since it's likely that you're doing it in poor conditions. 73 de KE4TEN
