Unleashing Victorian High Country's Hidden Gems | Exploring Epic Camp Spots In Nov 2023 Part 1

Welcome back to another Victorian High Country escapade! After a brief hiatus, we return for our second High Country adventure of the year, marking the final trip of 2023. This time, Stephen from the Long-Range Desert Group extended an invitation for this four-wheel drive journey. Despite the less-than-ideal weather forecast, the decision to venture forth was made, and fortunately, we were greeted with several splendid days.
In Episode One, we kick off our adventure in Myrtleford, taking on the challenging Buggery Track, Buffalo Range Track, Mount Selwyn Track, and the Twin Jeep Track. Our first night is spent at Beveridge Station, surrounded by the serene wilderness. The journey continues towards the Wonnangatta Valley, traversing the Twin Jeep Track and Tee Tree Range track. The Wonnangatta Valley, true to its reputation, offers two days of spectacular beauty and tranquility.

In the scheme of things my opinion doesn’t matter - however I concur with fmods above about the AI narrator. There’s just something unnerving about it (and to be honest, I’d much rather hear you narrate the whole video!) 🙂

Agreed, great video but found the voice over a bit jarring. My partner and I thought it was maybe a strong contrast between accents that caused the effect. Perhaps, if it was a Australian KZbinr using a AI voice over, the effect would be less pronounced (I watch other content with AI). Always worth trying new things, occasional appearance may work okay.

Outstanding footage and editing! Great inspiration for my own Vic High Country trip later this year. On a side note, everyone hates the sound of their own voice, but definitely more authentic if you do the voice over yourself, plus you have a cool accent! 👍

As much as I love your videos, this new narration is a deal breaker for me. I don't watch your videos to listen to disjointed, 'poetry'. I've always enjoyed your own down to earth narration which perfectly fits the experience of visually coming along on your journeys. No more thumbs up from me I'm afraid and unsubscribing is probable. Another great video Stefan! I was the leader of the group you encountered on Mt Selwyn Rd. We initially split the group into 2 groups of 9 but ended up all together anyway because there was almost nobody else on the tracks. Buffalo Range Track is an awesome drive hey, even though most of the time we were up in the clouds, glimpses of the fantastic views were truly atmospheric. In any weather the Victorian high country never fails to exhilarate the senses. We camped at Leinster Flat, would have been great to catch up with you for a chat over a beer... Cheers!

Hey mate, yes, it would have been great to catch up for a chat around the fire, maybe another day. You guys were the only cars we encountered on the whole trip. I'm not a fan of such big groups, but I understand how a two-group trip can merge. We spent once one 1 1/2 hour on King Billy trying to get through a 12-car group, but you guys did it how it should be done smoothly and without a single issue or even hold-up. Clearly, good bush etiquette and knowing what you are doing.

Do you have any links to where people can buy the Cell phone booster set up? My family was trying to find an affordable cell booster in Queensland but it was hard, so they ordered one online and they got scammed from a chinese supplier and i'm not even sure if they ever got their money back. I'd really like to find something that works well, with amaysim service provider which is really cheap but doesn't always get the best reception. We went through a bad storm near Tamborine a few weeks ago and the power was out for 10 days.. all around our area. Having a good cell booster would have been quite useful
