Look up the patchnotes again, they removed the more hit damage with the big pulse, *instead* it is the guaranteed crit. Also phantasmal quality got nerfed heavily.

People who make memes about this skill are 100% rookies who can only play meta skills with heavy guide on each step. Its very easy to get good Aoe with this skill, and damage + mobility is amazing, you literally zoom thru map melting waves of minions, i used it for farming Legion on Jungle Valley few leagues ago, and now it got even more multiplier for third hit

I think its a shame how many skill in the game are actually fairly viable but they are held back with below average base stats to things like radius and cast speed.

In a way it is unfortunate but in another way it kinda makes sense for the depth and complexity of the game. You're given the tools to solve all the problems of every skill and it's up to you to figure it out a lot of the time. There are skills which just kinda work right from the early stages and some you really have to solve. If every skill was kinda solved from the start then we're at the situation where other games are where your gear is attack/defense and you get the same shit for every build.

@@Mathilification feels like poe was like this at some point and I think that's when I stopped playing for a few leagues. It was so easy to build a few every man's sets and play most builds and it was so easy to do it sucked what I found fun in poe out for a bit.

I used to love the old incinerate for example (the one shooting projectiles). it shot one stream of projectiles a few feet forward and cost a shit ton of mana. so you had to get more projectiles, a lot of projectile speed and somehow solve the mana problem and you ended having a pretty great skill. There aren't many skills like that anymore

You talking the pulse thing? Between the 40% base damage increase and that it is 3 pulses to gaurentee a crit.... looks like a buff overall to me. I think about a 25% more damage on baseline LT. And closer to 30% for Phantas LT, even with the nerf. I think LT is going to be better than it was before actually....

@@shaunlester8131 well phantasmal quality also got nerfed and most builds already crit capped so no, its a nerf. probably good to play a different build like ignite with the ailment multiplier from crit strike + stack added flat damage. but this build in particular even with the added damage is nerfed HARD.
