back in the day i had an all lightning bolt deck...i remember using it the first time...i was building up mountains...had 8 out i think...one guy was getting some powerful cards out and then i struck...21 points right to him...haha everyone was laughing and he just sat there mouth agape...my best move ever

Great video, super helpful! I grew up playing revised. Still have my collection but sadly I’m looking at selling them (it’s breaking my heart but I need the money), and I’m going through and I have a few alpha, beta, and unlimited sprinkled in and it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes so this was a great refresher. Also I don’t care what anyone says, the new art sucks. It just feels cheap and overdone. There’s something about the classic timeless look of the old cards that will never go out of style. I’ll never understand why the guys at Wizards of the Coast continue to go further and further down that road. Worse and worse art, and more and more convoluted mechanics. Just stop. Think about what you’re doing, lol! Jesus… anyways, that’s my old man rant. Now get your Pokémon cards off my lawn! Thanks again for the refresher and the trip down memory lane

Glad this could help! Bummer you have to sell your collection, but hopefully it helps get everything on track! Completely agree. Old magic art is truly special. True retro borders, shooting star foils that were actually hard to collect. It was such a great era!

Ha, still got 4 of the unlimited lightning bolts, like 7 or 8 of 10 conditions; actually what got me looking up values/shorting out the old stuff now. Had to get out an unlimited land to make sure I wasn't confused with revised.

As soon as they reprinted Lightning Bolt in M20 & I found out, I bought like 4 sets of them right off the bat.

@@MagicMetalMoney Srry, I meant M10, not M20. I couldn't pass up buying Lightning Bolts at 25 cents a piece, even if they were reprinted in 2010. I like the old artwork & the new artwork for Lightning Bolt. Nothing like having an OG version of any MTG card though.

Dude, you went into it too much. Unlimited cards have a darker print run and they have a double frame around the edge. Revised single frame and lighter ink.

You ruined my day. Great video. Half my stuff is apparently revised not unlimited. Bummer. Good to know though. I thought the lighter colored cards were unlimited. Nothing beats the old school artwork from back then.
