I just received mine a few days ago. I got the lift gate truck service because I have no equipment to remove it from the truck. Mine was on a pallet and the truck driver had one of the motorized pallet jack's, so it helped maneuvering the crate a lot easier. He used it to move the crate onto the lift gate. But, the driver and I still had to physically slide and spin the crate by hand on the lift gate to be able to lower it down and then we had to again physically slide the crate by hand off of the lift gate and onto my concrete pad. The driver was then able to use his motorized pallet jack to move the crate to where I wanted it positioned on the concrete pad. And, that's where I disassembled the crate and assembled my HF Trencher/Backhoe with the help of previously watching your build video. So, my delivery driver was a real good guy too. And, a Super BIG thanks to you for your build video! I too will be soon posting video of my build and I'll be giving links to your build video in the description of my build video when I post it!

I made a mistake not getting the lift gate truck. The crate was a monster. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I have had. They are very tough little machines that fit anywhere. Good luck with yours. Thanks for watching.

I should have paid the extra $100 for lift gate service but in the end I did succeed. Thanks for watching.

May I ask why didn't you just didn't buy an attachment for your tractor instead of the extra cost of a trencher?

you were lucky to have that driver because most would have moved on as soon as they saw there wasn't a loading dock to unload

What does shipping cost? Do you know if the crate can just be slid onto my pickup. That way I can take my time unloading the crate?

Call harborfreight.com to see. You probably could pick it up at the freight terminal where they load with a big forklift. Thanks for watching.

@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023

It costs 8k because the tractor needs a subframe to keep it from breaking in half. This was only 2.5k and does a good job plus these are easy to resell. Thanks for watching.

You were lucky that you had a truck driver with some patience. Most truck drivers we deal with are in time crunches which means they need to get in and out quickly. That obviously didn't happen in this case.
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 8 жыл бұрын
Yes I was lucky. He told me how some people open a crate like that on the truck and unload it peice by peice taking a hour. I guess that is why they charge a higher rate for residential deliveries. The biggest problem was getting it to the back of the truck because he couldn't get the pallet jack under it. Thanks for watching.

That must have been nice. I thought the freight company would have had a local terminal to load it in my truck, that didn't work out so as you can see it turned into a large job for the equipment that I have. Thanks for watching my video.

I ordered one of these 2 weeks ago. I live in Connecticut and I still have not heard anything on when it is going to be delivered. No tracking number, no email, no call,,,... I dont even know what carrier they used. When I go to the web site it just says "sent" for my order status. I called them twice and each time they basically said the status will update. That was 4 days ago. Where was yours sent from? and did you have any estimated delivery time before the shipper called you?

Mine came from CA and also took about a week to ship before I got the email with the trucking info. They may wait for a full truckload before shipping. It was in NY about 3 days later and the trucking company called me to set up a time for delivery the next day. This time of the year there could also be weather delays. My biggest problem was my credit card company canceling the order twice and calling it fraud because they were having problems with Harbor Freight charges on stolen cards so I finally had to set up a pre approval with them. Have fun when it arrives.

I finally got it. The shipping company shipped it via train to the east coast then trucked it to my local freight hub. It took 4 weeks from the time they said it was shipped. Just wanted to let others know that although you got yours fast, it took 4 weeks for mine. but it did come and was in perfect shape. They said they would ship it to my door with a life gate at no charge but I decided to go pick it up at the freight hub because I did not want to take a day off from work. Shipping experiences on this item seem to differ for everyone.

Why did you not just request a delivery in a curtain sided lorry. It could have pulled over far enough for you to use the lift in your drive on the old Mac?
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 8 жыл бұрын
You don't have a choice unless you pay the extra $110.00 for them to drop it on the ground with a liftgate. Thanks for watching.
@andrewcullen8635
@andrewcullen8635 8 жыл бұрын
In that case I would have told him to get it onto the ground, It was paid for delivered not paid for onto the back of a lorry. Off loading it should be included and you have no more idea of how it is packed than they do. I bet it got to their depot on a curtain sided

So your too cheap for $110 lift service but you have a $20k John Deere tractor. I would have just bought the bucket attachment for the tractor.
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 8 жыл бұрын
The tractor is not strong enough for a hoe, It needs a specialized one with a frame that is $7,000.00. I thought the freight terminal was going to be closer to me and I could have just picked it up there, but it turned out it was 3 1/2 hours away each direction so I had to come up with a way to unload it. Thanks for watching.

I am a lot further away then 200 miles. You may want to post on Harbor Freight's facebook page to see if there is one in your area. There is really not much to see about it that Is not included in my videos. Check with Harbor Freight about their return policy, as I think you can return it to your nearest store if you are not happy with it. Thank you for watching my videos.

I just swapped the main boom lines also. They all have the same fittings so it is a easy change. It would be nice if it had a slightly larger pump so 2 valves could be operated at the same time, but works fine as it is for operating 1 valve at a time.

My original plan was to pick it up at the freight terminal untill I found out it was over 100 miles in each direction from me. It is well worth the $110.00 if you do not have a way to safely unload it. Thanks for watching my video.

As a mater of fact I made the last video about trencher mods and updates private and just shared it with users I know are not a part of Facebook. Doing that with other groups that have people that like to take credit for others work also I found out about. I use MeWe and now have just setup a GAB page for the future.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 I I don't know if your talking about me or someone ealse . If not I appologise in advance . but I never took credit for anybody's work. I just invited you to like my page nothing less or nothing more. Some people may not want to share everything you have that right. But I'm focused on trying to help people be able to get the most out of this machine. There's not alot out there about it really not like that and I don't make money off of it. For instance I made one video about how to lube this thing and had a whole different experience . I even expanded on what I saw a man do in his video and went a step further and mentioned him in so many words . Thats not biting of anyone ealse .I had to buy a different needle gun , different grease , my fitting broke and some more shit. But I'm not selfish enough to worry about who does what with what I shared because If I can save them money and headache so they can fix thier machine and get what they need to get done I'm happy.
