@@plookymac Oh, that's so awesome! I pray you have many happy memories with your T&C. I love mine. The extra room under the 2nd-row seats is incredible, and my husband loves that we can haul 4'x8' sheets of plywood in it (I love this too because he keeps making my dreams come true with lots of wood projects).

Awesome!! I never knew this! Not only is it good for cleaning but it's going to be good when I turn mine into a camper van! I was actually going to look and see if it could be removed safely. It would allow easy access to the front seat from the back and vice versa! Thank you so much for sharing!

I just inherited a 2008 t&c from from a really good friend. They didn't even know it slid back for the mid row to utilize & i didn't know it came out that dang easily. Thanks kids, I had to try it immediately (I live in it) it really is as easy as he makes it look.

The reason this feature is so wonderful is that alot of people use these Dodge Grand Caravans and Chrysler Town and Countries as vanlife vehicles. With the cost of rent skyrocketing, more and more people are living in their vans. And to be able to remove the center console so you can traverse from the driver's seat to the back area is a HUGE HUGE plus. I was thinking that if i bought one of these vans i would have to unbolt it because i don't want it in my way as described above. But thanks to this video i can see you can easily just remove it with the lower lever. Awesome video.

Oh that's such a great perspective, I hadn't considered it as a perk for van life, but it definitely would be. My husband is a designer for Winnebago Industries, a motorhome company, and he's always looking for ways to make the best use of space without losing functionality within tight spaces. When we first got our van 11 years ago I thought I may remove it so I could get back to my kids easier if needed (as a passenger).

@@jeramychunn9108 I am so deeply sorry to hear that. While we didn't lose everything, we lost a whole lot, physically and financially, when I was sick in the latter part of 2020 with a biotoxin illness (essentially mold sick). I know what is like to find yourself where you absolutely didn't want to be and try to gain the confidence and resourcefulness to rise again. It took us over 3 years to even feel like we were remotely back to where we were before the sickness. That said, God turned that mess into a message and I've learned so much in the process and had experiences that I've found a way to be grateful for. I hope you too can see some hope and future while finding a way to go forward. ❤️

I have a question? I have the same van maybe same year, I have a 2011 and I can't seem to get it off I've to pull that bottom tab but it won't give, what should I do ?

If it's set up the same way I would keep rocking it or wiggle it a little maybe it has settled or something spilled at some point acting like a glue. If you're still not able you may have good luck pulling into a Chrysler dealership and asking if they can give you a hand with removing it. We're in the Midwest and the service techs around here are super kind.

The owners manual is so non-user friendly I gave up on it long ago so this simple, straightforward video clip taught me how I can now find my own long lost ballpoint pens, cookie crumbs, French fries, etc.

i've taken mine out before, but can't figure out why the power outlet doesn't work inside it...wanting to use it to power my stoof because it's easier to get to than reaching way down for the other ones near the floor

You know what, I forgot there was a power outlet in there! I don't use mine, but my kids have before. Right now it's covered with a first aid kit and random coupons that are probably expired. I do agree with you, those ones by the floor are so inconvenient to reach. I usually leave my phone plugged into the driver's side one, because it turns off when the van turns off. I loop the cord up around the chip holder above charging port, so it's handy to grab.

@@ASlightlyBetterWife Saw this one before and it confirms spare & crank to be in front of vehicle and crank to be in under center console. However the older 90s model caravans and Towns did have them in the rear, most common for people to recognize. I've made so much money on people that own the 2000s and up Town and Grand Caravan that thought they knew where their spare was but turned out they didn't even know where to look for it at all. LOL!!!

That does just simply unbolt. It takes some effort, but not like removing a tire.
