Thanks Darren, loads of 'thought food' to digest there. What a great sound you conjure out of the lovely Tele, beautiful. Currently my obsession is with the guitar sounds of Billy Gibbons .......he blows my mind. Lightness of touch on super light strings, Yet the filthiest of licks ever. His economy of movement makes it all look effortless and peerless vibrato , pick attach and hybrid picking .......unreal.

I really like your idea of doing the chicken picking on the scale. One of my favorite guitarists is Bill Kirchen who did a fair bit of that with Commander Cody. Also the raking, which adds a different texture.

Dude, that's great. Does combo --pick and fingers-= faster playing. / ?
@evergladesrhythm4 ай бұрын
Can do for sure. And bouncing across the strings means you can use wider intervals, and dart around faster. But it’s mainly the contrast in the sound between pick and fingers that makes it sound more dynamic and exciting. Thanks for watching!

How did you mount your guitar with cases to the wall. I haven't seen that before. BTW, good content.

Hi Jimmy, I mounted the cases to the wall and then screwed a guitar hanger through the case. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the content... I like that you talk about great player's techniques. I'm getting more comfortable using all 5 fingers... they each bring a sound. I challenge myself... can I play some, like song intros, using just the right hand... it helps me get a feel for the finger type/hybrid approach. Couple of vids... Too much Reverb, no slapback delay not enough compression, have a listen to Brent Mason, Johnny Hiland, Brad Paisley, etc, that's "Chicken Pickin"
