That’s a great way to teach someone I have a hard time explaining it to a novice. This way they can actually feel it

For some reason I can relax and lower traps, retract and pinch much easier when I’m sitting up straight. Once I lay back down into the bench I feel like I lose the pinch and retraction. I’m trying to get the lift off to where I don’t have to push up but just drag out. I’ve done tons of upper back, rotator work, etc…to strengthen it. I just don’t know why it still goes to shit but it’s frustrating.

@@BigBenchas I find in a bit weaker keeping my back tight. But if I lower the weight and work on it I should eventually be able to lift more weight.
