Every time I watch a video on the Easiest Swing, regardless of the specific content, I come to the same conclusion: let yourself be an athlete. Love this approach, I don’t think it will make anyone a PGA tour pro, but it will make a greater number of people better at golf with less struggle.

As much as we would love to help a tour player - and there are many of them with physical and mental scars, our real interest is with the vast majority who play this game and who are looking for simple solutions as oppose to entry to a torture chamber! Thanks for your comment it’s ones like yours that fuel our enthusiasm!

I've came back to golf after a 12yr break and it's been a 2yr struggle. That was until I found the easiest swing. I love playing golf again, thank you so much 👌

Watching you put Paul through these steps and how well he performed, was an eye opener and proves that the swing is an easier process than we all want to make it. We are not going to destroy that little white ball by swinging hard.

Glad you liked it and it resonated with you for your own golf. That’s very encouraging for us and why we do it thanks!

Absolutely, I’m 61 years old and have been golfing for two years, the first year, I spent the entire season trying to hit the ball as hard as possible. Last year things were much slower, balanced, rhythmic and I enjoyed the hame immensely. Can’t wait for spring. Keep up the great videos!

I think this video has been one of the best by the easiest swing team, Paul’s honesty and the point’s Philip picked up on and then changed, shows we are all different when swinging a club, I would love to have a similar one to one session with Philip, We all think and or follow what we’ve been told or instructed to do over the years whether they are right or wrong 🤷♂️ Keep going Paul, follow the easiest swing technique 👍 Great coaching session Philip 🏌🏿♂️

I love how Philip watches Paul take a few initial swings, and asks some questions before offering any swing advice. So different from most of the other instructors I've had personally and watch on KZbin. They're so focused on imparting a solution before going deeper into the pain points. I wish Philip was here in Connecticut; I'd schedule some lessons right off!
@Easiestswing2 күн бұрын
Thanks Tom, this is one of the major differences all our ES coaches are trained in. We recognise that we can’t possibly move forward until we know what is going on in our student’s mind, much of which may be deeply buried. Sorry we don’t have any coaches in Connecticut yet - hopefully we will before too long.

Since returning to the game after a 20+ year layoff and finding myself north of 60, the game got much harder. I’ve had endless lessons from local pros, none of which had any permanent effect apart from making my body hurt! These swing tips are super helpful. Yes they go against most of the stuff I was taught in the past, but they make complete sense and I’ve found them to work, and moreover they don’t leave me in pain! Keep up them coming, gents.👍🏻

Hiya just to let you know that i only started with Brian a few months asking him a few questions he always got back to me as i had been watch his videos months before but after he died I didn't think he would be replaced by anyone so i stopped using the easy swing but I've been watching your videos for the last few weeks and must say you and Brian must have been close as your teach the same. Today i used Brian and your swing and was hitting the ball best for along time and not hurting my back. This is just to say thank you

Hi Steve thanks for those comments and yes Brian and I were extremely close for over 50 years in our careers. Suggest you read our book “The Easiest Swing in Golf” which I co-completed (with him) posthumously. I think you would enjoy it and it would explain a lot and help you with your progress.

I noticed Paul gained about 20 total yards per shot from his first 3 shots at the beginning until the last shots he took at the end of the lesson. His swing was much more relaxed and fluid. Impressive.

I coach “Paul” every week and over the past six or so years I have had far greater success with the principles of easiest swing than in the previous forty years with traditional methods. I focus on guiding people toward learning to love the game again by understanding that there is no one way to play golf, that every player has their own swing within, and that my job is not to teach them a specific way that they must swing, but to guide them toward finding their own unique swing themselves by natural and easy movements that each individual body can achieve. Easiest Swing is a movement about movement and I recommend all players to give it serious consideration.

a really good, informative video and geared towards a guy who certainly needed the help! Interesting: I teach in Palm Desert CA and gave an hour clinic to 15 ladies yesterday, all between the ages of 60 and 85. We did The Dance, lifted the left heal, got rid of tension, and discovered effortless power.

I think so so much of it comes down to the need for power or the thinking that you need to try really hard for power. I see so many people, and I'm guilty myself, can hit a 7 iron 125 yards with a lovely easy swing time after time. We all think we need to be hitting it 20 yards further and when we strive for that extra distance we can't hit it for sh1t!
@Easiestswing2 күн бұрын
Effortless power versus powerless effort eh?!!
@robertcourt85932 күн бұрын
Just accepting that we hit it as far as we hit it and playing with what we have.

Interesting how the last number of swings all went further and were more consistently bunched but all pulled slightly left. I initially had the same result when trying to change to an 'easier swing'. I've found that years of either arm swings or trying to get separation between upper and lower body (as taught by many instructors) messes with danse du golf timing. I've found I had to use a similar technique to what Philip recommends when using a swing caddy - dial it back a bit, concentrate on tension free timing and good contact and then gradually dial it up again. I'm waiting on my swing caddy to be delivered - hopefully will continue to see improvements when that arrives!

Watch out for the next session with Paul (it will be in a couple of months as he has gone away for a while) where he will start to learn how to control where he is hitting. Please note that we didn’t even comment on this at the time as it is too easy to address too many issues at once and end up confusing rather than helping someone to learn new skills.
@sph2622 күн бұрын
I can summarize his teaching theory, golf is a n approximate game, we play with feeling, subconscious, rhythm and tempo :) we need to think out of the box :)
@jonprice78533 сағат бұрын
I've just taken this concept to the range after following it for some time on KZbin. Its just not working for me I’m afraid and its probably something I’m doing or not doing. It seems to be the more I relax the bigger the slice. I do not seem to have any control over the swing path or the club face. I have been so focussed on hitting it straight I’ve fallen back to the mechanical element. I will persevere in the hope that it does come good.
@EasiestswingСағат бұрын
If you are right handed - even with the smallest of swings see if you can close the club face enough to make the ball go left then build back from there
@thomasmccauley9607Күн бұрын
I am 85. What I do to get more turn is turn my head to the right on the backswing and to the left on the downswing. Sometimes I don’t see the ball at the top of my backswing, but pick it up rapidly on the downswing. I notice your pupil soul turn his head on the practice swing but not on his real swing. To me this limits body turn and causes mainly an arm swing which reduces potential higher clubhead speed at the ball.

Great to hear that you have unshackled yourself from the head still mantra that so many golfers fixate on. You are right of course Paul has been subject to that same constriction that nearly every golfer on the planet suffers. Keep watching as over the coming months we free him from this and his other misplaced, learnt beliefs.

We agree with much of what MdLT taught, he was definitely a pioneer of simplification. But you are right we believe in good natural weight shift throughout the swing which aids balance, consistent ball striking and rhythm

Once a player can strike the ball to the best of their ability the easier it is to straighten them up. That will come in future videos.
@sheaocallaghan570221 сағат бұрын
32 minute videos are just too long. Seniors might need oxygen by then. Keep it down to under 10 minutes in the future because we are not hitting golf balls ourselves. Other than that the info is fine.

Nonsense, it's a great video and it's disrespectful to say " keep your videos to 10 mins " , that's the problem with KZbin golfers they want a 10 minute fix to hit a ball pure and it doesn't work like that.
