Update: IT WORKED!!!!!!! YES IT WORKED AND its freaking awesome!! few things though: - When using multiple video and audio files on the same timeline it dose not work for me. (Take in mind that the files are literally identical for the exception that they were recorded separately using the same hardware) - I also Did NOT edited the audio files in Adobe Audition and brought in the original Non Edited .Wav file, it was after Auto Cut did its magic that I then editing (increase the LUFS) on my audio tracks. - Im now going to find out if there is a recording limit on the Atem Mini when recording 3 hrs or higher sessions. Thank you Chris for your patience and support, I will be purchasing the yearly subscription for sure!!!!

1) nest them so they are 'one clip' on the video line. 2) personally, I usually run the audio through some basic editing before putting it in the timeline so the audio is cleaned up, loud enough, and ideally eq applied for individual speakers. 3) Should be no issue. At least it never was for me, when I used the ATEM Mini Pro ISO.

@@ChrisSpiegl great idea about nesting the video clips. Fyi in all fairness I did noticed that if the ends of the video and audio don’t end both their alignment on the timeline , auto cut has issues with that.

Maybe tell that to the developers, so they can fix it. But it's also an easy fix to do yourself; when you have the files in the timeline.

That may be the case. Ideally, you assign the cameras to whatever tracks… but I will test this more.

Hello Chris. First of all, I would like to thank you for your great video and the great help you gave me and others. I followed your instructions exactly and have exactly the same podcast setup. Unfortunately, Autocut only takes two of the three video tracks into account when cutting automatically and always forgets the third video track. But only when I use Autocut in the multicam timeline. In the timeline with the individual video tracks, it works as expected. Do you have any tips for me as to why this might be? Thank you. Best wishes from Germany, Arne

I'm answering myself because I've found the error in the meantime 😃 NOT linking audio and video solves my problem. As you showed in the video it works. I should have paid more attention to watch 😃

Great to read you were able to solve the issue. Also, interesting that unlinking actually matters.

Hello and here we go! About to use your Affiliate link just now. I've since learned the bare bone basics of Adobe Premier, I'm a FCP user and I can somewhat get around Premier (although I can now see what others refer to when talking about the easier User Interface and the automatic timeline of Final cut Pro) But sadly for now FCP does not have the ability to use this 3rd party plugin. Crossing Fingers on this 3 hour podcast, I know its a crazy long recording, but it was meant to be that long for personal reasons and having the change to test Auto Cut on it. Wish me luck and I will be reporting back. Lastly, I know this might be a simple questions but I noticed both talents on the podcast picking up a bit of audio on the other talent Microphone, currently dB is at 56 percent on the Mixer, not sure if by dropping the gain back to 50 will do the trick . thing is the Shure sm7b almost needs you to be 3 fingers away to pick up you audio level somewhat good. OR unless I do drop the gain down to 50dBs and then in Adobe audition pick up the LUFS levels. Please any input will be appreciated.

With the Shure SM7b you should use a cloud lifter / booster to record it loud enough (unless you have a really good audio interface or field recorder like the F6). A bit of mic bleed (the speaker in the other persons' mic) should not be an issue. As long as the volume difference in speaking vs. not speaking is obvious enough for the tool to detect it. Regarding Premiere Pro: I understand that can be a learning curve. But with a handful of shortcuts, I think you'll get around pretty quick.

thank you for the info, as you know i'm in the process of setting up my studio (currently getting the camera image resolved) once I'm done and recording I will for sure circle back to this plug in. I was looking at another plugin that would take the audio meters and do the auto switching for you on the fly, but what I like about your plug in is the customization of Time, and speed and specially switching to the wide angle. lastly, is there any similar plug ins for FCP or Devinci that you are aware of? and please do let us know WHAT is that long object that's in the backdrop of your shot? looks like a random piece of wood. jajajjaja

Great to hear! On the left, there is our Yoga Matt and on the right that's a shelf made of wood. AirBnBs are interesting that way sometimes. In terms of FCP / Resolve: as far as I am aware, there are no such plugins for either of the two at this time. @@ChrisSpiegl Are you using your Atem Mini ISO to capture all your individual angles? and how do you recommend to best capture the audio if one is to use a Rodecaster Pro, would it be straight into the mac and capturing all the tracks separately via the use of Garage band? Not sure if you have a How to Set up video showing what and how to connect all the devices to make this work. Thank you, fyi I already recommended your video to other YT'er and mentioned you using this plugin :) Told them to use your affiliate link. and lastly when can we see other programs that are similar to this one?

Update: I've just tried running AutoCut for the 1st time and after the 2 pop up Status windows showed up illustrating the processing status , the plug-in basically shut down and said that given I had not run the plugin for some time now, that I need it to restart it. Which I did, and so then I went back STEP by Step on this tutorial and now when I try running the plugin it read the following "One of the cameras is missing its track (See video track of the camera field) ". I noticed that after splitting each audio track the one that supposibly is "missing" does play the audio yet the audio waves on the timeline do not show anything, only the 1st speaker track kept its audio waves. Again they BOTH do play audio yet for some reason the plugin is not picking up the 2nd audio track. I will now try to just running it with out turning it into a multi cam and see what happens. I'll circle back. thanks

No easy but should be able to run it. I had no issues (aside of some usability things I did report to the developers).

Question: you mentioned at the beginning that audio tracks out to be brought in *Individually*. Do I need to use something like Garage Band along with the Rodecaster II to record my 3 microphone audio tracks individually as Multi-Tracks? so as to then bring them separately unto AutoCut? Lastly, under the RC Pro II do you recommend using Pre-Fader or Post-fader when recording Multi-tracks. Thanks again. fyi: i'll be recording the video using atem mini iso, so I assume that I won't need to Duplicate the video layers as I'll be importing the video tracks already as separate source, is this correct? I guess the more I'm trying to undertand the software, it does help if you can already bring in those sources already as Unique / individual files into AutoCut, right?
@ChrisSpiegl
@ChrisSpiegl 5 ай бұрын
1) The Rodecaster Pro should give you individual WAV files which you can then import into Premiere Pro. 2) I do not use the RC Pro / Pro II; but if Pre/Post-fader means whether to record pre or post-fader, I would probably choose "pre fader" if you want a more "raw audio track" and "post fader" if you are wearing headphones and want to record the exact volume that was set during the show. 3) ATEM Mini ISO Files: I, personally, would still nest all the video tracks in a Multi-Cam Sequence. Duplicate that one and set the different camera angles based on the track. This makes it a bit easier to then make adjustments once AutoCut has done all the cuts. But if it works better for you differently (using enable/disable for example) then you - of course - can also do that.

@@ChrisSpiegl I've just signed up on both your website and Telegram :) Update on my progress with having to export individual tracks: As of 1:42AM LA time, I've been successful of not only setting up Adobe Audition but learning the entire setup to accompany the Rodecaster along with it, took a while but I got it working. (Originally was going to use GarageBand but found Audition does have a leg up on GB) I also learned about LUFS and how to best implement them on my audio tracks. I'll be doing my 1st podcast pilot run with my sister this coming Sunday. the Goal is to bring all these components and mostly applying all the media into AutoCut. I'll keep you posted my friend. Lastly are you or anyone familiar with Audition? Since I have one question and that is "How can I save a *Template, type of a file, that would allow me to not have to apply the same *Filters and set up options every time I'm going to record new audio.

Please help , its not working. I have even gone as far as writing your steps one by one On a Note Pad. After doing all the step I started to process the files and it even gave me the Confetti effect and said "Process Completed", yet when I saw my 3 Cam timelines and 2 Audio tracks, nothing happened they were still the same. I like to note that since yesterday's test runs on Auto Cut I have since via Adobe Audition cleaned up all the Audio Bleeding so the Audio files are as clean as a whistle for each of the Two (2) talents. NOTE: i've singed up to the Discord server and even mentioned some other bugs in the program not related to AutoCutPodcast yet no one has even reached out to me. Don't know what else to do, I really do want to purchase the full 1 year subscription so if anyone can help me I would be much appreciated.

Please note that I am not the developer. As far as I am aware, the developers are a small company in France (not 100% sure, I might be wrong). So instant support reply (as you may know from Amazon or similar) is not something I would expect. I am not entirely sure what may be going on with your setup. If you'd like, you can contact me individually, and we can set up a consulting session in which we can do a screen share and I help you with this setup process and processing of this file.
