I have worked the blue book from start to finish but I refer to it a lot. It’s absolutely life changing!!! I went way back in my history with recurring issues. Disengagement when I’m triggered, mindfulness, knowing I can have a positive outcome despite triggers, managing my old thinking. Even though I’m struggling with life challenges of living in my car, trying to find a suitable job for me, grief and empty nesting on my own... I’m doing fairly well. I did have bad thoughts a few days ago but it was very temporary. I really need the card deck!!! Thank you!

I went through the book as well and I agree - it’s life changing. Along with psychotherapy and videos like this one I’ve come to a moment in my life that I never thought was possible. Like for the first time in my life I don’t feel this horrible feeling of emptiness. I wish you good luck with your current situation! I hope you can overcome those issues and do even better.

The blue workbook I started and had to call my sister in hysterics. I’m not joking, it was like “check check check” and “yes that’s me”. The part where you figure out your attachment style ended with me being anxious and preoccupied attachment. Next page, BAM, “those with bpd often have anxious and preoccupied attachment”. It has been INCREDIBLY helpful for me to have insight and validation. I kept going to therapists who I would mention that I might have borderline with. They would always deny it because I “am so successful” in my work. Except my relationships, love life, etc. are an absolute nightmare. My mom had BPD and the page about the environment you grew up in was shocking. I checked EVERYTHING except a few. I am half way through now and will definitely be moving onto the next. I have quiet and petulant BPD. I finally feel seen and heard and am ready to change. 😢

I just stopped talk therapy because my clinician is very inexperienced and I felt like I was just spinning my wheels. Over the past two(ish) years, I have pretty much watched all your BPD vids along with doing an extensive 2 month long DBT/CBT 6hr a day group day program and I have learned so much. The timing of you putting this video out is crazy, I was telling my partner last night that I wanted to buy your books and cards because it's the type of therapy that I benefit from the most, so far. So, even tho I'm not a client sitting on your couch, you are helping me and I thank you, Dr. Fox.

Daniel, I'm really grateful of having encountered with your channel and resources, seriously. Your content and material have helped me to work on self-consciousness, and I'm doing a lot better since I know you. Thank you so much and I really appreciate your effort. Besides, I wanted to say that unlike some other professionals on KZbin, it's heart-warming to hear you addressing people in a non-hurting way, without making them/us feeling despised; quite the contrary, your videos make me feel much better in general. Again, I'm very glad to have known about you.

I just finished the Part II of the Workbook, and I really have a better understanding of my BPD, of my behavior towards others and myself. It helps a lot, I really recommend it to people that are really trying to get over the symptoms. I also have the deck, and I keep it in my desk, since I work at home, I have it in sight all the time! I realized that I had very toxic behavior towards friends, and I have isolated for months not knowing what to do. Fearing i will hurt or get hurt. Now I am focusing on learning about coping and improving myself. I will get the complex book so I can get a full understanding of it all. Thankyou Doc so much for your help!

I was in a short(7 month) relationship with a lady that was diagnosed w/ Bipolar 2, PTSD, anxiety & depression…when it was good it was great but when it was bad it was extreme. It ended 6 months ago & didn’t end well. I researched bipolar to try to understand it & find ways I could help but a lot of ways she acted I think is BPD or at least traits of it. We haven’t spoke in 6 months but I have watched your videos & I’m no doctor but I really believe she has BPD & not bipolar. I’ve watched numerous videos & she seems to me like “quite BPD”. I want to tell her to mention it to her therapist/doctor but don’t know if want to open that door again because it was hard on me being in the relationship because of way she acted at times…I know she can’t help what she has & I don’t blame her for her actions. I just want her to find for sure what she has & to find right treatment. I want what’s best for her

Coming from a person with borderline, it might not be wise to "inform" her or "diagnose" her with BPD - or anything, for that matter. You may end up lookin like the bad guy-ever hear the expression, "don't shoot the messenger"? Well, in this case, you're the messenger and you're delivering some VERY revealing, VERY not so fun...news. I know you probably feel like you've just hit the information jackpot and want to go "fix" her now, but chances are, she probably already has an idea and if she doesn't yet, it's certainly a road she'll want to discover privately and seek help on her own time and terms...

Recently backslid a lot and almost got in a serious physical fight in which I know for a fact I would’ve been going for damage. Luckily people around me disarmed the situation and I almost immediately knew I had fucked up. Trying to crawl out of a dark, dark place that left me struggling with poverty, loneliness and addiction. My life has been in a constant state of upheaval as long as I can remember. This channel has given me a good look at myself more than any other. But at the end of the day someone is always trying to sell you a book.

I I'm waiting for The BPD Card Deck, I think it will be very useful for me. I wanted to let you know that I really like the simple and nice-looking design of all three materials - they look like exercises for learning a foreign language and I think that's great. I live in the UK and mental health services are not good and lagging behind other countries when it comes to anything more complex than mild anxiety and depression. I was diagnosed with BPD in 2007 and have never received any information or counselling for it. I’ve got all three. I’m halfway into the blue one and it’s absolutely life changing. Never had I managed to address the core issues this way; DBT helps only to mitigate the “episodes” but do not help in identifying underlying beliefs that affect how we think/feel. But the blue workbook is a life changer for me. I’m more rational in my thinking these days. The card deck is a game I play with myself every day. I pick a card randomly from the pile and read aloud to remind myself!

Hello Dr Fox 😃. I'm interested in your workbook. Unfortunately here in France very few therapists are able to help people with BPD, behaviourism is not as extended as in the US. Lots of therapists are psychanalists and don't know how to cope with BPD patients. Another thing : I find some BPD traits are very similar with those in Intellectual High Potential people or Emotional High Potential people (the terms have been developped by a French therapist so I don't know if these are used and known in the US). So I'm at a loss to know what is really the cause of them and if there is a correlation between the two.

So I've been diagnosed with BPD for a while. I haven't really addressed it much due to panic attacks pretty much controlling my life. Losing jobs, going to the hospital every day, and today missing Halloween with my kids. I did, however, watch a video of yours that talked about addressing core content before co-morbidities. Is it possible that managing BPD will help with my anxiety? What would you recommend for someone who's almost exclusively focused on survival, even when nothing is wrong physically?
@DrDanielFox
