You could also listen to the excellent book "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker, who won't mind at all if you fall asleep listening to his book. Benefits of routine and sufficient sleep have protective effects against dementia as you mention but it also enhances memory, creativity and learning, makes you more attractive, controls your weight and food cravings, strengthens your immune system, makes you happier and less anxious, and lowers your risk for many diseases. Sleep is the foundation of our health and well-being so it's great that you highlight how important it is.
