I've been using Google Drive for 4 or 5 years and the Desktop on my PC, laptop, and phone for a couple years. I find it puzzling at times and am often afraid I am modifying files that don't get synced and may loose files I remove from a device. This is the best instruction I've seen and I've read/watched a few. Thanks so much!!!

Great information. Questions/Suggested Videos- How do you manage multiple google accounts on one computer? I use incognito window to log in 2nd account but I can't figure out a way to see both google drives on one computer. One email for work stuff, one email for personal stuff, one email for genealogy files, wife's account, etc. You seem to work with multiple google accounts seamlessly. Thanks

Unfortunately, Google Drive doesn't have a built-in feature to automatically find duplicate files. However, you can use some workarounds and third-party tools to help you identify duplicates: Manual Methods: List View and Sorting: Switch to "List View" in Google Drive. Sort files by name or size. 1 This groups potential duplicates together, making them easier to spot. Look for files with similar names (e.g., "Document (1).docx", "Copy of Document.docx") or identical sizes. Search Operators: Use advanced search operators within Google Drive to find files with the same name. For example, searching for "filename.docx" will show all files with that exact name.

If you are on a chromebook or chromebox, you don't need to download Google Drive and synch.

@@TeachersTech I try to avoid downloading anything to the computer. Working in the cloud means we no longer have to do that. And Google allows for access even without the internet. I find I no longer print things as sharing is easier digitally. If you are still using a PC, why not consider loading Chrome OS Flex for the security benefits and speed. Microsoft is so last year.

I had the same impression about Google Drive, but after watching this, I think I will go through the video again, step by step while at my computer, and I think I will learn how to use it effectively.
