There was a cut right after you said no edits!! I love you . Not calling you out, I just thought that was funny. My videos have always been unpolished!! 😂who knew it would be a trend? Never done a highly produced video. Thank goodness authenticity is "in!"

What I love about “easy mode” above everything else is that it’s bringing back an appreciation for being authentic. As the saying goes “It’s better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you’re not”. Best wishes to every here on their KZbin journey 🙏🏾

Pro Tip: If you feel like you get lost talking, or afraid you'll forget something but don't want sound scripted... Take a minute and type out the topics you want to touch on. And use as few words as possible. Increase the font size by a lot so you can see it, print it out and tape it right under your camera. If you already know the topic, you can talk on it. This is just to remind you of the flow you want.

I’m in the over 50 tribe. I’d love this easy mode. That’s how I’ve been rocking with my content since starting. It always made me pause when creators would say how long it took them to edit their videos because I don’t do that. So easy really works for me. This is a great video. Thank you for putting it out there.

You’re right when you meet people in real life you want them to be the same. I’ve met a few content creators in person and each one always say wow you’re the same. You look exactly the same and you’re just like you are in your videos. I would always think to myself. How else am I supposed to be? This is me

Great video! We are the same age as each other. I like the "Easy Mode" approach you speak of in this video. When i started my channel I thought i would need lots of equipment and hours to create and edit videos. Now, i'm starting to become a minimalist as i just use my iphone, wireless mic, ring light (sometimes), and try make 1 cut videos instead of spending hours editing.....I have just subscribed to your channel....Take care, and Rock on from Winnipeg Canada .

It’s a great concept and I love it! The caveat, of course, being that I think for many people speaking on camera is a learned skill even if they’re super sharp and bubbly in real life. In this case a bit of editing neva ☠️ nobody ✨

100% agree! My friends and I decided to do a No Edit November challenge that I created my own rules for to help me become more comfortable on camera. KZbin is a learning process but 6 months ago I wouldn’t have even let someone take my photo much less felt comfortable spilling my soul to strangers. ❤

This is a relief. I want to do KZbin but my life is crazy, busy right now. I go live a lot because it’s easier but livestreams don’t perform as well. I would be interested if you did a video comparing your views and watch time on an unedited video like this compared to your more edited ones.

I would love this, but unfortunately I don't come across well without a script. I think in circles and my sentences don't end. I go on tangents that are painful to watch back and I have to cut them out. You literally can't understand the point I was trying to make because the tangents are so confusing, but made sense to me in my head. I use filler words that I have noticed for years, but can't stop doing them (mine are 'um' , 'aaaaand' and 'soooo' at the start of every new sentence and a smattering of 'like'). It sounds like one giant run-on sentence when I speak. I tie myself in knots and use sentence structures like 'despite the fact that even though I....' 'although i know that in reality, firstly, on the one hand...' (just examples). I wish I could save myself the editing process, but I can literally turn a 45 minute recording into a concise 15 minute video as my thoughts and mental processes are so scattered and my delivery is so all over the place. It's like I cannot organize a singular, coherent thought while I'm talking, yet when writing, I'm better than average. I'm gonna stick to scripting my videos because I know my audience doesn't have the time to stick through my ramblings. Any tips for organizing my thoughts and speech to be able to speak extemporaneously? I can feel my mind going at 100mph when I'm recording myself, yet it never seems to go fast *enough* to speak in a clear, rational way in short, digestible sentences. It just comes out as a mess, like I'm just really hyper. And I don't like my audience seeing something so unclear and unpolished as I'm creating content for my (successful, established) business.

@BettieC-NeverTooLate Ай бұрын
Start by making very short long form videos, maybe 4 minutes. Only express one idea. Don’t give yourself time to ramble. If you ramble, try it again. You will get better! Stay very short until you see progress. You don’t need to publish these but you will probably want to eventually! Add a minute or so at a time. Then use bullet points to keep you on track.
@vapor4
@vapor4 Ай бұрын
@@BettieC-NeverTooLate that's a good idea. Thanks. I've been doing this for a long time and usually the videos get too swollen with ideas because what started off as a simple idea became too deep lol. A major strand of my business content marketing is actually talking on tiktok and Instagram reels. I script ALL my short videos there (I have to as the time is too short for me to speak that concisely extemporaneously). They are between 59 seconds and 2.5 minutes in duration after editing all the gaps where I'm breathing and getting the autocue where I need it. I like the idea of shorter long-form content. Even if I don't publish them. I just think I would be over thinking 'don't go off on a tangent', 'how long have I been talking?!' and when I've tried to trust myself in the past, what feels like I've been talking for 3 minutes ends up being 10 without exception 😩
