Yes. Looking forward to the simagic gt neo and sell my F1 wheel. This might give me the solution without thinking about changing to a complete new eco system.

I did and went a bit of a step further, my current stack from wheel base to wheel goes has follow: CSL GT DD 8NM + tiny emulator > Aliexpress QR2 > SRM Adapter Plate > Aliexpress Aluminum Q1R > Simagic GT Neo This way anytime I want to adapt a 3rd party wheel, all I need is another female side Q1R instead of QR2+Adapter plate

I use it with DD1. Podium hub cannot be bougth without QR2, so overal cost is approximately 250 EUR plus shipment and that is sick… SRM emulator works perfectly fine. I use GSI X29 wheel. And I also bought two chinese QR2, no difference compare to my other Fanatec QR2.

I use the SRM tiny emulator with a Simagic GT Neo on my Fanatec base. Works perfectly

What exactly did you order? Did I need an adapter, to connect the Fanatec QR to the Maglink from the GT NEO ?

@@marcoklein5937 QR Adapter for Fanatec QR1 and QR2. Looks like it's sold out at the moment on their website

@@marcoklein5937 the Maglink doesn't connect to the QR. The Maglink cable connects directly to your PC USB. The Adapter plate is just so that the GT Neo is able to bolt to the 70mm Fanatec QR bolt pattern. The Tini emulator plugs into the end of your wheel base, then you just connect the wheel using the Fanatec QR as normal.

I have purchased 2 of the Tanlenki QR2 mounts from Amazon and they work great! Two days to my door with Prime.

This is exactly what I use, albeit I have the Fanatec DD2 base and a Grid MPX V2 wheel… Point to note that if using a DD1 or DD2, once the base has started up, you have to rotate the wheel 90 degrees to enable high torque mode!

This proprietary nonsense is why I didn't even consider getting a Fanatec wheelbase, nice that people in the ecosystem now have less expensive options for using 3rd party wheels.

tbh as someone with a fanatec csl dd for xbox, I don't really need to worry since most 3rd party wheels just don't work with xbox

Nice emulator. I hope SRM makes an emulator for Moza's, Simagic's, Thrustmaster's wheel bases, etc. That would be nice.

install voicebanana or some kind of audio software. u get really loud when you get close. set limiter on ur highs

I mate, thank you for your video. I'm a fanatec customer, I have a csl dd 8nm and I would upgrade my base to a cs dd+ but i'm waiting a new gt3 steering wheel, I use the mclaren rim. I don't know why Fanatec doesen't upgrade its steering wheel line up. I'd like to see a new high-end pedals set too. Thanks

QR2 is a means to connect the wheel to the base. It does not include any electronics. You get your product in 2 weeks instead of waiting two months plus.

yes but if the aliexpress’ qr2 just break, you can’t blame anyone for that. it’s a cheap copy. But I agree using the fake one with an third-party wheel. I think that make sense.

@@magil159 yeah I agree, but I will not trust like 1000€ setup with a cheap qr2. I’ve spent 700€ in a Fanatec with their QR2. Not much would have changed if I had chosen the cheap QR2

that emulator shouldnt even be necessary. if fanatec did it right there would be a mode you could put the wheel base in that allows it to operate without anything plugged in to the pins. kudos to srm for making it though 👍

So, I only have th qr1 lite. so id need to buy a qr1 and all these parts which equals to 127. but if i just buy the podium hub, it comes with a qr1 for free and is a total of 175 w/ shipping. Hard to make a decision ngl

some of us made our won with teensy board connect inside the wheel 12pin plug. we have option of loading different wheels as we like. then i bought one of these for a client and his happy with a simple upgrade for 3rd party wheels

then its 120plus adapter plate every single time. This way, only once the electronics are paid, being considerably cheaper per wheel

you are right, but not many wheel makers will do the same so this product will help a lot of fanatec users to have more high quality wheels other than the bmw m4 gt3 wheel

@@randomcallsign LeoxZ already have a "core" version with 70mm spacing for 119.95 so you shouldn't need the adapter plate, right? The difference in price seems pretty fair for a complete package where you dont need to fiddle with adapter plates or that small emulator. (with of course the disadvantage that you can't reuse the emulator between several wheels)

@@rogerwennstrom6677srm module has only one disadvantage - you have to remember to take it off before you connect Fanatec wheel… in all other cases, it’s the best solution in my opinion.
